Can A Payout Buy Back Innocence?

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, CA confirmed it will pay out US$660 million to the 508 victims of sexual abuse by Catholic priests. Do you think that an apology and a lump sum are sufficient?

It will never buy back the innocence of the victims. It will never buy

them peace of mind. I wouldn't be surprised if there are more than

508 victims. The priests have been protected by the church. To me

    the whole thing is criminal.
