Need help removing rubber foam stuck to vinyl floor?

there's this stuff called Goo Gone, works wonders on sticky stuff like that.

When we were in our apartment we had the same floors and we had messes similar to that...crafty messes and such. We bought some goo gone, the stinky smelly strong clear liquid in a can that looks like it should be holding lighter fluid in it. It had a very strong odor, but it was worth it. Pour it on and let it set there for about 15 seconds, then start gently scratching or just rubbing it off. Wear gloves, open a nwindow, and put the kids and pets outside to play too. You could try the Goo Gone gel...it looks like orange oil and comes in a spray bottle. It's not as strong and may be kinder to your flooring. I can't say it would do just as good of a job as the original stuff, tho!

LESTOIL! Put some undiluted lestoil in a small spray bottle, spray it on the adhesive. Wet and wring part of a towel in hot tap water, rub it on the lestoil and voila! Your goo is gone and the vinyl isn't harmed in any way. Works wonders.

Just be careful of anything you use.There is a water based product i have used called Krudd Kutter. It is sold by K-mart. I think it will be less caustic to the floor, as long as you monitor the use of it. the nice part is it works and clean up is easy with soap and water. Good luck

I had the same problem. What worked for me was I placed a towel over the spot and poured muriatic acid over it. After letting it sit overnight, the foam rubber was gone!

Please don`t put muriatic acid on your vinyl floor. The goo gone might work, and there are several other things that could do the trick. WD40 , paint thinner, naptha, alcohol, kerosene, & as a last resort gasoline.

Rubbing or isopropyl alcohol. Make sure you wash the floor afterwards with warm water and soap.

Pine Sol, full strength.
