does it go "it raining its pouring the old man is snoring, he bumped his head on the side of the bed and couldn't get up in the morning"?(My version)
or "it's raining, it's pouring the old man is snoring, he bumped his head on a loaf of bread and couldn't get up in the morning" (My boyfriends version)

There are different versions of this song, it comes from oral tradition and people generally learn it from their parents.  You will no doubt find other versions.  The one I learned as a child is yours and I've run across a few other versions.
