What kind of memory (RAM) should I buy for my Compaq Presario V6000? RDRAM, DDR SDRAM, or SDRAM?
Also, does anybody happen to know what kind of RAM speed I need? (266 or 333)

Enter your computer information here and Crucial will tell you exactly what kind of memory you need.

I tried to check it for you but the Presario has three versions of the V6000. I didn't want to give you wrong info. Once you find out what you need, you can shop around for lowest prices. This company has some low online prices:
You could also look into used memory if it's coming from a reputable supplier. That's how I upgraded my computer and it saved me about 35% compared to new prices. Hope this helps.

The V6000 comes in two variants (T comes with an Intel Processor and Z comes with AMD).
I own a Presario V6211AU (AMD Turion 64 X2)and it uses DDR2 SDRAM(PC2-5300 667MHz).. U need to refer to ur product manual which specifies the RAM type but I reckon it's gotta be DDR2 SDRAM.
