Problems with 37inch hdtv lcd flat screen magnavox?
I have had my magnavox 37 inch lcd tv for a little over 6 months the past few day when i turn it on it will make this popping noise and turn itself off, and the continue to go on and off by itself for about 15 to 20 mins before it will stay on, anyone got any ideas what may be causing this to happen??

Dosnt surprize me at all.
Samsung,Phillips/Magnavox and RCA are THE worst brands out there.
More than likely they are not going to restart you warranty when they replace the board, youll just have 6months left.
And yes this problem will appear again, and many more to come.
Sounds like powersupply problems, once warranty runs out either the parts will be available but real $$$ or unavailable.
Not here to get the best answer, but to tell it how it is.

be carefull with an lcd that big because there will be quite a bit of bluring with fast motion (bring in a movie to the store to put on) I'm not too crazy about DLP because of the viewing angles, and lcd's for the most part are tried and true technology. (besides CRT) What you see over and over in the answers of these questions is it's really up to you what you think of the picture! See if you have friends or go to the store and you can try out some games or bring a couple movies. The other idea is you might be able to go to a rental store and rent one for a week for around 50-75 bucks (just an idea)

over 6 month, it must be still under warranty you can call service center to check this out. Probably the problem comes from power circuit board.
