Can much an annual maintenance cost of a Volvo will run in Canada?
If I go by the Volvo schedule and service the car at the dealership, what will be the approximately cost for a 06/07 S40 2.4i 5-sp manual in Canada?

too much find yourself a reliable volvo specialized shop and you will save a bucket of money.

Whatever the calculation comes out to be, I'm sure you won't like the result. I've had eleven Volvos since 1968 and have always been appalled at the maintenance costs while attempting to follow the suggested schedule. I have nothing good to say about Volvo dealers and their service departments. My local dealer is one of the worst I've ever encountered. I'm sure there is some competence out ther but I haven't seen it.
An independent shop that specializes in Volvos and other European cars is a much better bet. Most of that crap the dealer service deaprtments say they check on their fancy checklists never gets done. I'm sorry I can't give you a dollar figure but it will be more than you ever thought you'd pay to maintain a car.
