If you heard a voice in your head that you thought was God....?

And it was telling you to do things that you thought were questionable or didn't make sense (like being told to make a giant boat or go lead thousands of slaves into the desert), would you listen and do it, or would you seek psychiatric help through medication/councilling first?

Update:

Thankfully I don't hear anything myself, but I doubt I'd vote innocent if I was on the jury of someone who killed someone cuz they heard voices.

I think if you heard God tell you to do something, he would leave no doubt at all that it is Him speaking and that you would do it.

If you think it's God then talk with God and find out. If God is telling you to do something and you have a questions He would answer your question.

If you know it's from God then there should be no second thoughts. Moreover, you can look in the Bible for assistance also.

I would pray for conformation from God that the voice I was hearing or the tug at my heart that I was feeling was actually from him.

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints 1 Corinthians 14:33

The people who responded to God in these cases obviously perceived him to be real, and they also had plenty of time to discern the truth.

For Noah and Moses, this wouldn't have been the first time God revealed himself to them, either.

Lot's of us are capable of hearing God's voice, and even correctly understanding him, from time to time.

And in the end, God's will is a force that cannot be denied.

Obviously, Noah nor Moses thought that these were questionable request from God. They did them without hesitation. They trusted and seemed to follow His every request or commands. It's funny that we would question this. If your family was in danger of death, how far would you go to save them? And was it good or bad that Moses led people out of slavery? Would you be strong enough to confront a leader like Pharaoh and request him to let your family go? Probably,,,, NOT.

You hear God's voice through your heart or your spirit, not really through your head. Since I have faith in God ( just like Noah and Moses did), then yes, I would "listen" to Him. It's a good thing they did, isn't it?

If I heard a voice and thought it was God, I'd talk back.

You mean like sacrificing my only son to God? I hope that I would seek psychiatric help because I would need it badly!
