And hell is where people who disobeyed god's will go, why would he punish them instead of rewarding them for things done of his belief?
You'd figure that they evil-er you were, the better off you'd be. Especially if the devil really wanted to piss off God. If he was mean to them, he'd be like god's lackey.

remember one of the reasons that the war in heaven and hell started was because god held PEOPLE to a higher degree then ANGELS. so in retrospect the devil might take quite a fancy to torturing humans- the things that cost his place in heaven.

satan could care less about what happens to people...he uses them and then just throws them away like useless objects...also remember that after this world ends....GOD will destroy satan and He will take over the punishment of those who turned their back on HIM
