ford sport trac or nissan frontier?
Looking to buy a newer used truck and have narrowed the search down to ford sport trac or nissan frontier crew cab (01-04). Which one is better? The sport trac has a much shorter bed, almost dwarfed in comparison to the nissan's long bed. I think the nissan comes in a supercharged model. Does anyone have anything to say for it? I looked at one and it was really nice, well equipped but it had already sold. We have to carry dogs around so the long bed will be nicer to work with. I do not like the fact that you can't open the rear window on the nissan, the ford has a nifty power sliding feauture. Which one will hold up better in the long term? Right now I'm leaning towards the nissan. Any objections?

Go with Nissan, they are more reliable as long as you maintain it the way you're suppose to. Ford parts are cheaper, but they are more likely to break. Overall, you'll get a better quality truck with Nissan. They maintain their value better also.

Go with the Ford Sport Trac.
I've driven two Sport Tracs, an '05 and an '07 (new body style) no problems with either. The '07 is smooth as a Lincoln. The '07's have been out since early '06, so you can get a them used and at a good price. That sliding rear window really comes in handy in the summer, it gives the open air feeling in truck.
I have no opinion on the Frontier since the only Nissan I've ever owned is a Sentra.

I even have an 03 activity Trac XLT. Its great. gentle holiday like a motor vehicle yet drives like a truck. I had a ranger till now I have been given my activity Trac additionally. It grow to be too small and that i needed greater area for passengers. properly now I even have it. a lot of room interior the returned so human beings can sit down very truthfully. mattress is all Heavy accountability Plastic so no paint scratches to rigidity approximately or mattress liners to purchase. mattress length is somewhat small yet drop the tailgate and turn out the rack and you're able to make it as long as a small ranger mattress. good gasoline mileage for a truck and a lot of power for a 4.0 liter V6. you won't be able to go incorrect.

Maybe i am a little biased but i own a 1996 Nissan Hardbody p/u and have not had any issues with it. The truck used to belong to my sister-in-law and sat idle for two years and that litte bugger still runs like a champ.over 100,00 miles and counting.

Go with the ford. my dad has a 97' f-150 with around 320000 km's on it and he hasn't had to do anything to it. Ford will last much longer.
