Penny Wise Pound Foolish?

Why do we brood over petty cents on essentialities & throw away dollars on things we dont need. I find myself constantly trying to save on small expenses & blow it all up on a big one that is not even required.Anyone has some good advice on what I need to do to avoid this?

Since you are well aware of that, it's a good start. Determine in which area do you overspend.....is it books, CDs, DVDs, cosmetics, clothes, shoes, games, etc etc? Then stop buying them. Do the math and see how much you could have saved if you stop buying them.

Penny doll you are a woman and do we ever have enough? No!!

To gain control you have to be principled or you will have one too many unnecessary items like shoes and clothes that you will wonder why you bought it in the first place. If you need help buy a cash box with a combination lock, have a trusted person set the combination without telling you the numbers, put your savings inside and have that person close it and you can lock the box away and keep the key of where you store your box so whenever you want to put money in your trusted person will have to open it for you.
