Did you have a un-traditional wedding and how so?

I heard of a couple having a surprise wedding.....he showed up with dress and all the plans made before he even asked her to marry him. She said yes and they carry on with the plans that day and had a full wedding with guest and all.

We got married in a small outsider art gallery in the meat-packing district by a friend of ours who's a mail-order minister (and who doubled as the best man). There were 14 people present, including ourselves. Afterwards, we just went out to dinner at a nice restaurant. Our dog was the ring-bearer, and wore a floral collar. I wore a $35 cocktail dress I picked up at a vintage shop.

    It was a perfect day.

well - it wasn't THAT untraditional - but we got married in a little B&B by a judge. I wore an red suit, he wore a sports coat. NO toasts, NO kissing crud, a lovely meal and everyone left. There was no dancing, no formality of any kind. We announced it 10 days beforehand and called the people we wanted to attend. It was basically a dinner party with a couple of vows beforehand. lol

My aunt was married in the middle of a Kansas field by her neighbor who was a minister. This was back in the 70s, but it was random. No one else was there other than her best friend and his brother. I remember that she wore a homemade dress she usually wore to church. And no, she wasn't pregnant. She just didn't want a fuss. Oh, and now she's a multi-millionaire!

looks like exciting! i admire casual coastline weddings! hippies: continuously jogs my memory of beaded necklaces and flora in the hair and bell backside denims with sandals! infants with faces painted! the recent 'toddler doll' type tops are somewhat in basic terms an as much as date hippie type so which you ought to outfit your infants certainly! flora? daisies! a good number of daisies! how some bonfire finished with warm canines, marshmallows and pa/beer? sitting around the hearth with guitars and music! each little thing in basic terms laid returned and casual! have a superb wedding ceremony!
