how can I get water based paint off my rug?

    oxyclean and warm water. it will look like is spreading as it gets wet but keep cleaning it use a rag on the stain and a dry one to blot. It will come right up with some effort.

    use a steam cleaner, water based paint is easily cleaned with water!
