Is this a baby bird? You can go to the feed store and get game bird feed. Use a coffee grinder or something similar to grind it into a semi fine powder. Add warm (about 100-105 degree) water and mix to a gruel like consistancy. Use a hand feeding syringe or turkey baster to feed the chick. Baby birds have a crop that will fill with food, you can actually see their chests swell and feel that they are full. as the chick feathers in you can start leaving the coarsley ground food for it to peck at as you slowly wean it off handfeeding formula. Check with local pet stores and feed stores for someone with experience to help you out with the first few feedings.
