Mine always returned before I stopped nursing. The earliest return of my periods was about 12-13 months, and the latest was closer to 2 years.

It took about 3 months before I had one again and about 6 months before it returned to a normal cycle. It can be different for everyone. One thing that helps regulate your cycle is birth control pills. Just ask your doctor. This is what mine suggested and it worked.

With my first daughter I started about three months after I delivered. And my second I stated about two months after delivering. Of course mind you I breast feed both children for at least 2 months.
