  • Signs of Mini Strokes?? Am I having them?

Obviously you all aren't doctors but mine can't see me until Tuesday and I am a little worried.

In the past few months I have been having these "episodes" once a day sometimes up to every few days (and again today- the worst yet). Typically the episode lasts a few seconds and today about a minute or so which again was the longest.

I'm not on any medications but have been regularly taking Tylenol #3 until my surgery in two weeks (for sinuses an migraines). Strokes (and mini) and brain tumours run in our family.

I will be usually standing at the time or sitting upright at the time it happens. Instantly out of no where my brain gets cloudy and very lightheaded. I am faint feeling and my entire left side down my arm to finger tips goes numb. It quickly just disappears back to normal or I am left with a sharp headache.

Today being the worst as I said which was all the above symptoms just amplified and it lasted longer. The numbess and faintness was so strong today that I actually started wobbling and luckily had a chair to sit in. Again I was left with an instant head ache that has still to decease (5 hours later).

    What could this be?

  • WIFI ON BUT NOT WORKING - Blackberry Bold 9900?

So the scoop: I've had several blackberrys in the past but have always gotten rid of them because of this problem. I really enjoy the simplicity so I decided to try the Blackberry Bold (9900) again.

My wifi is on, and IS connected but yet my account balance is going down for data use. I'm down to $2.04 in a matter of an hour even though the wifi is connected. I know the wifi isn't acting up as I'm on my ipad and TV with it with no errors.

I've called Telus...again and they have refused to refund my money back into the account for this error. They have advised me to just "turn off the data" but I don't want to, nor should I have to settle for that. By turning off the data I cannot accept or send photos which I do often and cannot have my money being eaten away because of this flaw.

  • KITTEN WITH EYE DISCHARGE?

Brought two kittens home today. They are scheduled for the vet on Monday. Both overall look healthy but I noticed after a few hours of being here that the female has a tad of yellow gunk coming out of the corner of her eye. Everything else is normal including the colouring of her eyes and her other one. No sneezing, fever or anything else. Literally just a small amount of yellow guck.

Any suggestions for at home treatment?

  • Drank cigarette butt in pop can?!?!?

My dumbass husband put a 3/4 lit cigarette into my can of pop in the van where it sat since yesterday. He didn't bother to throw it out or forward me and I took a sip. None of the cigarette (thank god) went into my mouth but definite ashes...so fu**ing gross. Anyways, should I be worried???

I've thrown up twice and very well may again BUT think it's more from being disturbed as my belly feels ok other than being plain disgusted.

  • Pirhana Shoal swimming circles?

Just since I changed their tank from gravel to sand (too much debris getting stuck). They began swimming circles. They are just babies about 2" big and there is five in totals none are aggressive to each other (thus far). They have just eaten which sparked the circles for the first time but they are done and still circling,

    Why do they do this?

  • DRY SOCKET GETTING WORSE! (Tooth extraction)?

It's been over a week now since my molar got removed because it broke. All looked good until I awoke on DAY 4 with a secondary hole BESIDE my extraction site. This hole had a piece of bone sticking out. I went back to my dentist who diagnosed it a dry socket and said the gel he put in would clear it in 2-3 days. Now 6 days after that the secondary hole has gotten bigger, merged into the extraction hole to make one big hole and it is SOOO painful.

    What should I do now?

  • Red Belly Pirhana - AGE & TANK SIZE?

Just got 5 red belly piranhas that are loonie size. Currently are housed in a 30 gallon tank with everything for a healthy environment. Now I know they will in the next 6-9 months be switched over to a much larger tank (120G) but in the meantime while they're small will this tank size do? Again they are only the size of a dollar if not a tad smaller.

Also, what age are they roughly being that small?

  • Food INSIDE newly pulled tooth hole!?

Just got it pulled this morning. It's my back right molar. It cracked last night and was salvageable (clearly lol). Anyways, I had to go back to the dentist to get the doc to stop the bleeding because it just would not stop. When I left an hour ago he said I could eat soup and soft noodles, etc. Now my problem is that there's noodles in the hole.

Doctor said NOT to use salt water rinse until tomorrow and I'm not about to pick it out when it's not even healed, so yeah, any suggestions?

  • TOOTH PULLED- Still bleeding?!?

I just got my tooth pulled about an hour ago. The dental assistant said to leave the gauze for 30 minutes then carry on. Well it's been nearly an hour and it's still bleeding. Is that normal or should I leave the gauze on for longer until it stops?

Also, chow bad is the pain going to get after the numbness wears off. This was my very back right molar that snapped and couldn't be salvaged so he had to pull, of cours after bending the crap out of it first.

Just want to be prepared. I've also just taken two T3s as directed.

  • PEA PUFFERS- Brackish or Fresh?

So I'm a little confused. I was informed by my local fish store that Pea Puffers require a brackish tank (salt and freshwater). So, I have three in my brackish tank. Now I'm googling more information on them and am reading split votes.

Some sites say freshwater only as brackish slows their lifespan where others, including where I bought them says must have salt as freshwater slows their lifespan.

From EXPERIENCE what is the correct answer? Please don't answer unless you have/had pea puffers as I can and have googled just the same.

  • Betta fish DISAPPEARED!?

I have a 20G tank with a single male Betta and about ten peacock cichlid fry (0.5 inches big). They are grey in colour since they are so small. I was told from my local fish store that this living situation would be ok for a short time since they are so small. (Would have been eaten if left in my cichlid tank).

Anyways, this afternoon I look and my Betta has completely vanished! There is a small opening at the back from where the filter sits but this has never been a problem. He isn't on the floor or hiding in the shelters.

Do you think the babies are capable of doing something even though the pet store said no?! It's crazy, not even a trace of betta if something did happen.

  • Chiclid Tank CLOUDY- Did a transfer!?

We have (had) a 55G cichlid tank which has been crystal clear for some time now. I purchased a 75G and was planning an upgrade after cycling it. Today our tank crack (short story including a bottle of champagne with a crock top that flew across the room and hit the tank). Anyways we had to do an emergency transfer over to the new tank that had only been running for a few short hours. Everyone is doing good, PH levels are good, temperature is good the only issue is that The tank is cloudy. It is has been running with fish for 8 hours.

Note: we have not cleaned out any filters or gravel as they have beneficial bacteria needed for the new tank and all of our old water was used plus 20G of new dechorinated water.

  • Husband is SOOOO annoying when he sleeps- I CANT TAKE IT!!!?

I am at my wits end. My husband has been "couched" for two months now because he snores sooo loud. And not a rhythmic kind of way and abnormal, wart hog kind of way. He also slurps his mouth (so gross) and wheezes so loud. Sounds like those exorcism movies where like 10 demons are speaking at once,

Anyways, I couldn't take it anymore. I was up on and off all night if I even survived falling asleep to that and I'd be poking him to roll over or shut up all night. I was exhausted and so was he so we opted for the couch (for him of course).

But now, he is further from the kids bedrooms and sleeps through our daughters wakes every time even when I'm standing beside him literally screaming his name to get up. I am not exhausted and keep sleeping in and therefore ending up late.

I can't go on.....any suggestions for the snoring (etc) and his sleeping through everything?

  • Husband NEVER wakes up for our daughter's crying!?

Our daughter is 2.5 years old and still wakes up at least twice, sometimes more throughout the night with nightmares- never for a drink or whatever just from night terrors (all my kids had them). Anyways, my problem lies with my husband,...

First of all he has been couched until he deals with his snoring and mouth slurping and psychotic wheezing. I take forever to fall asleep and these issues wake me up constantly if I even am able to fall asleep at all.

Anyways, the point....when he's out, he's out within five minutes and does not budge if she cries. Finally after 3-4 times getting up on a bad night I'm pissed off and have to shake the sh** out of him just to let him know it's "his turn." I even leave her for five minutes with her loudly knocking on the inside of the door to see if that will wake him up and nope, nothing.

I'm at my wits end, I'm up until midnight dealing with my other daughter that has autism and seizures who is also up at the crack of dawn I cannot physically or mentally handle the lack of GOOD sleep.

    Any suggestions?

  • WHAT GENDER ARE MY FISH?

Are my Jack Dempsey's MALE or FEMALE?

We have just added three JD's to our tank. They are only about 1.5"-2" long at the moment. Two look nearly identical, much darker and not as vibrant in colour spots etc. The third is a little smaller (different store so a little younger) and is super vibrant with blue specks all over the cheeks and his/her underbelly and mouth is red. The third also has a longer top fin that goes into a sharp point whereas (to me) the other two look shorter and not as pointy.

Here are some pics of the three. What do you think?
