I wanted learn how to teach dogs to track, but don't know of any trainer in DC area that teach. I wanted to get a hands on learning experience. Don't have a car so how I can't travel outisde metro regions.

I was wondering if dogs besides GSD, Dobes, Rotties and other larger dogs can compete. Can small dogs also compete. I not talking about training a dog for personal protection. Just want to know if they can compete in Schutzhund trials; just for sport.

I was researching Dogo Argentinos( Argentinian Mastiffs). I heard sources (Howel/Barron breed books) saying that they had dog agression. I also gain information about Dogos which say that they were specifically bred away from having any agression towards another dog. I know they were bred from many fighting dogs, but hunters use these dogs in large packs. A hunt could not be sucessful if the dogs are trying to kill each other.

Was looking into apartments and came across this. What makes this different from renting regular apartments? Is this actually a safe money saving venture?

I put two aquarium plants in my 5 gallon tank because my Crayfish was uprooting and destroying them. 3 days ago I noticed what I think is fungus (white, cottony, weblike substance) on one of my plants (specifically that plant nowhere else in the tank). Mostly the stems and a few leaves. There are no fish in the aquarium or any other lifeforms( at least any non-microscopic one). I check the previous tank it was in and absolutely no fungus. I place a anti-fungus tablet and added salt, and there doesn't seem to any decrease in the amount of fungus on the plant. Did I miss diagnose the problem a fungus. Is this what happens to a dead or dying plant. I can tell the leaves are a still green. Is this a solvable or should I get rid of the plant entirely. Thank you

I just read this book about creating mini aquariums by David E. Boruchowitz. Not to be confused with Betta bowls or placement of fry. I have a five gallon aquarium and was thinking about starting a nano aquarium. I have not chosen any fish yet, because I'm still researching. Small (under 2in) low activity fish, are hard to find. As most aquarium dealers sell are mostly larger (over 5in), and the smaller fish they sell are highly active or territorial. Just wanted to know if anyone has tried the mini aquarium concept and what fish and setup you used.

I have a standard 10 gallon fish tank. I was wondering is I should fill it all the way to the brackets at the top or leave space. Also if you have a standard filter will the height of the water effect the filters cleaning ability.

Many statistics say Pitbulls are lead with the most attacks. But how can this be true if the pitbull breed does not truly exist. I did research and found that five differents dogs are interchangeably considered pit bulls. The Stanfordshire, Stanfordshire Bull Terrier, Bull Terriers, The American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Bulldog. If these dogs along with their mixes are pronouced to be the same breed on many occassions they how can we accurately say such statistics aren't flawed. It would be like creating a title called power dogs and lumping rottweilers, dobermans, german shepards, and belgian malinios as one breed. What would the true statistics be if we divide the "attack records" among each dog. Sorry for my rant.

I just recently bought a pair of rollerblades. When I put them on I noticed only the right skate had a back break. I'm not sure if this is normal. I haven't skated since I was a kid ( also I used standard four wheel skates not in-line) and wanted to pick it for transportation and excersise.

In the 1990's German Shepards seem to be the only dog used as seeing eyes dogs. Now all I see are Labrador Retrievers. Nothing against Labs I'm just wondering we hy they stopped using German Shepards.

If you go back to the 1990s all you ever saw on the news was black people committing crimes. You can the robberies the shootings and the drugs. Nothing but a negative image of black people. So then everybody was terrified of black people. Then came 9/11 in the 2000s. Now the new people to fear were people of Islamic and middle eastern descent. Now in 2010 they have fused the image and now we have hybrid terrorist. The underwear bomber and the Somalian terrorist who tried to blow up a Christmas tree. They hit us with the double threat now Black/ Islamic Terrorist.
