How much mass of 238/92 U is required to produce the same amount of energy as burning 1.9kg of coal?
the 1.9 kg of coal (about 5.7 * 10^7 J)
and U has 238 neutrons and protons and 92 protons I just wasn't sure how to write that on here.
Please if someone could show work how to do this problem I ve tried lots of times.
1 AnswerPhysics8 years agoFind two unit vectors orthogonal to both <2,9,1> and <-1,1,0>?
I know your suppose to some how use the cross product, but I cannot get the right answer. Please help.
2 AnswersEngineering9 years agoHow would I find the integral 17x^3/sqrt(8+x^2) dx?
I tried using Trigometric Subsitiution, but I got stuck.
1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoHow would I find the idefinite integral of t/(t^4+3) dt?
This looks very similuar to arctan derivative i just dont know how to get there.
1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoHow would you find the indefinite integral of 10arctan(sqrtx) dx?
I tried using integration by parts letting u=arctan(sqrtx) du= 1/1+x dx dv=10 dx and v= 10x
I then got 10xarctan(sqrtx) - 10 integral (x/1+x) dx I am not sure if I did it right up to here but this is where i got stuck.
1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoHow would you find the indefinite integral of 8e^(3x+e^3x) dx?
My first try was to use a subsitution and let u = e^3x then du= 3e^3x dx, but then i wasn't sure which e^3x would be u and was confused.
1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoHow would I find the integral of (x^2-12x-9) / (x-1)^2(x^2+1) dx?
I know you would use partial fractions I just can't seem to get the right values for A B C and D.
1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoHow would I find the integral of sqrt(x+49)/x dx?
I believe you would use a regular subsitituion first and then integrate by parts but i can't seem to come up with the right answer.
1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoHow do you integrate (x^2+1) / (x-8)(x-7)^2 dx?
I feel you would use integration by parts but I got A=(-78/25) B=(39/25) C=(-12/5) and this was wrong.
1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoHow would I integrate (x^4+15x^2+2) / (x^5+25x^3+10x) dx?
I feel like you would use integration by parts, but I keep getting the wrong answer as the indefinite integral.
3 AnswersMathematics9 years agoFind the tangent line of equation xe^y+ye^x=4 on point (0,4)?
I know you are suppose to find derivative of the equation, but i dont know how to get it equal to y.
1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoFind the tangent line of equation y=e^(3x)*cos(pix) on point (0,1)?
I ve tried applying the product rule to find the first derivative, but keep getting the wrong answer for tangent line.
2 AnswersMathematics9 years agoEvaluate the integral eS1 (upper limit e lower limit 1) of (x^2+4x+4)/x dx?
I thought you could use u subsitiution and make u=x^2+4x+4 then du= 2x+4dx but everytime i tried this I got different and wrong answers.
3 AnswersMathematics9 years agoEvaluate the integral 3S2 (upper limit 3 and lower limit 2) of 3(sqrt.x + 1/sqrt. x)^2 dx?
I've tried using the chain rule and u subsition, but i keep coming up with the wrong answer.
2 AnswersMathematics9 years agoWhat is the derivative of 6 sec(6x)?
I ve tried the chain rule and u subsitution, but can not seem to find the right answer.
2 AnswersMathematics9 years agoEvaluate the integral 2S3 (upper limit is 2 lower limit is 3) of dt/(3-7t)?
I thought when the lower limit was bigger than the upper limit you could switch them and add a negative, but I keep getting the wrong answer.
1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoWhat is the derivative of y=x^2 ln(8x)?
I tried using the product rule and couldnt not get the right answer. I found that y''=3+2ln(8x) and that is correct but i need y'.
4 AnswersMathematics9 years agoHow do you differentiate the function y= 7/ ln(x)?
I am trying to solve for y'. I attempted using the quotient rule and it did not work.
