I got a spinal fusion when I was thirteen to correct scoliosis. The pain went away about a month after surgery, but I have been experiencing frequent back pain recently. My surgery was 7 months ago, and the new pain just started about one month ago. The pain goes from the base of my neck to my middle back and goes all the way around my ribs. It is usually a dull, long-lasting pain but sometimes it is sharp and only lasts for about a minute. This sharp pain gets worse when I inhale. I am planning on going to see my doctor but I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this or has any idea what might be causing this? I know some people's pain doesn't go away, but I can't find anything about it going away and coming back. Any ideas? Thanks!
