Began with PC in '97 after a hiatus from any form of computing beginning in 1974. Noticed a few changes. Became instantly addicted and have worked ever since to keep it fed. Have worked on and used 4, 8, 16, 32 and 64 bit computers. Have repaired x86, x64, 68K and Alpha based units. Self taught. Keen amateur in the best sense. Began repairing after dissatisfaction with local shop. Began building systems after requests from previous customers. Personal tastes in components usually include efficiency, reasonable cost and suitable performance for the required task. Hate waste. Reuse and/or re-purpose preferred to trashing components.
