trying to figure out which option to go with for the novel The Namesake???? ?
I am currently reading The Namesake for class and im trying to figure out which one of these options to use to start my essay. need help choosing.
Option 1: Overall, does this book portray America favorably or unfavorably?
Option 2: This book describes two generations: the immigrant generation (Ashoke, Ashima, their friends, etc.) and the first-generation of American-born children (Gogol, Sonia, Moushumi, etc.). Both generations face many challenges. Based on this novel, which generation faces more difficult challenges?
Option 3: At the end of the novel, Ashima states that she still does not feel like America is really her home. Why does Ashima never feel fully assimilated in America?
Option 4: What does being Bengali-American mean to Gogol? Do you think he considers himself more Bengali, more American, or equal parts of both?
Any advice on how to start it would be greatly appreciated.

Do you think films have a responsibility to be accurate when representing historical figures, or do you think they may be creative with history for the sake of entertainment?
An exmaple i thought of was the movie 300, but what would be your depiction of this.
If you have any other examples think of movies/tv shows/video games.

Even without the hieroglyphic writing in ancient Egypt, do you think that just the Egyptian artworks would have been enough for us to understand Egyptian culture? Why or why not? Think of an object or monument from our culture today with no writing on it that if discovered 4000 years from today, it would provide information about our 21st-century society.
1 AnswerHomework Help2 years agoIf you are a Art Historian can you help me?
1. A significant difference between Prehistoric (Paleolithic and Neolithic) cultures and ancient Egyptian culture is the existence of writing in ancient Egyptian culture.
2. As you saw in the videos, burial, mummification, and beliefs in the afterlife were very important in ancient Egyptian culture. Find a unique burial site or memorial from any culture or period, describe it to us, and tell us about its symbolism and meaning. Include an image or a link to an image/website featuring this burial or memorial.
