I want to know why the multiple of sines whose angles are in any series/progression is always 1/2^n, where 'n' is the number of terms, and the maximum angle usually falls short of 90 or 180.

For instance,

Q) Find the value of Sin(pi/65)Sin(2pi/65)Sin(4pi/65)Sin(8pi/65)Sin(16pi/65)Sin(32pi/65)

The answer is 1/2^6 = 1/64.

Another one,

Q) Find the value of Cos(2pi/15)Cos(4pi/15)Cos(8pi/15)Cos(16pi/15)

Obviously, since both cos(8pi/15) and cos(16pi/15) are negative, -ve cancels -ve, and the overall answer is positive.

But yet again, it is 1/16.

Why?

Applying transformation formulae (Transforming sum to product, and vice versa) gets me nowhere.

This is a regular pattern I've noticed in my weekly exams, and I usually score only in these questions.

One more trig doubt.

Why is cos^3x + cos^3(120+x) +cos^3(240+x) = 0.75cos3x ?

I tried solving it myself, and I got a headache.

Then, I plugged the equation into Wolfram Alpha, but it couldn't give me a simplified version.

The question is probably wrong.

I ask, why?

Hi, so I'm looking to get myself a decent laptop on which I can play games like LoL and Minecraft, but I don't really know what affects computer performance when it comes to games like these. What I would like is a relatively cheap laptop that can be used for gaming while not compromising the gameplay itself, meaning I want the games to run smoothly and not have them ruined by lag. Since I'm not ready to get myself a $2000 gaming desktop just yet, a laptop is all I can hope for right now.

So, my question is: what should I look for when it comes to laptops? What are the characteristics of a high performing system? What affects computer performance?

after watching a movie in french class(The great debaters), our teacher asked us to create our own debate. Our subject is: The Quebec should not separate itself from the Canada. We've divided the work into four parts and I have to elaborate on how the Canada is a great country and it would be a shame to leave it.

As the title suggests, I'm looking for information concerning the Federal government and what (positive) things they've done to Quebec.

My teammates's subjects:

Economy, how the Canada is still in deep debt and does not have a vivid enough economy to developp itself alone.

Bilingualism (does that make sense?), how we still need to keep english as a second language in Quebec as loads of students will travel to US in attempt to enter Havard and other important english Universities. (The other team will probably say that by separating from the Canada, we can protect the french language more efficiently. So our argument can counter that.)

Cultural diversity: Quebec is mainly(?) populated by immigrants and the cultural diversity is an important thing to be kept here.

So my question is, again, what advantages does the Quebec have by staying with Canada?

P.S.: If my english does not make sense somewhere in this text, please keep in mind that english is only my second language.(I live in Quebec)

I know this is not the good section for this kind of question but this is the section with the most answer. Please read the following text,even if it's really long, it means a lot to me actually.

Last summer, me and my friends decided to ride our bikes to the sports center, they were going really fast and I was trying my best to keep up with them but, I didn't have much cardio, which was a problem. By the time we arrived at the crossroad just in front of the sports center, my other 3 friends have already crossed it. By that time, I started to see dark spots in front of my eyes and, within a few seconds, I couldn't see anything. Even with my eyes opened, all i could see was darkness and stars. I was blind and, with my friends calling for me on the other side of the road, I decided to try and cross anyways. Since I couldn't see anything, I tried to cross the road myself, but I fell because of the the curb in the middle of the street. Well, that was embarrassing because i was in the middle of the road, with lots of people around me. Eventually, my friends came to help me and i recovered my vision. But by then people were asking about what happened. I didn't really know myself.

Does anyone know?
