JUST ME 0102
8 yrs ago I asked God to help me and he did and has been with me ever since. I sought God and found God as God has said and Jesus taught. When I went to a Christian church thought I was told of all the rules of Paul and the Christian churches new covenant I had broken, or was it God that broke the rules by helping me. I felt humiliated and was ridiculed by the minister in front of his regular congregation. He didn't use my name but he didn't need to. I was the only new person there. My love for God was at worst called a lie or at the very least, a figment of my imagination. I love God with all my heart and soul and will not stand by and be ridiculed like that again because when I went looking to find out why it was called a lie it was always from what men had said and rules men had taught. There was nothing in what God had said and Jesus taught. I firmly believe that Loving God is about Loving God. It is about what is in your heart and not about what rules you know.
I made a stupid mistake 10 yrs ago when I started praying to God?
More correctly, God made a mistake. He didn't show me the exclusive rules of _______ (insert name of your religion here) I just kept praying to God and God kept on answering my prayers. God didn't tell me he was not allowed to do this and I was none the wiser and ignorant about the ________ (insert your exclusive religious text here).
All I did was ask God for help, I sought God out and God opened the door for me. It was 6yr latter that he put the bible in my hands. Why am I not allowed to do as God asks me but do as the ______ (insert your exclusive religious text) say? What is the word of God when each religion has their own separate version of what Gods word is?
Mat 7:7 "Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened for you.
Mat 7:8 Because everyone who keeps asking will receive, and the person who keeps searching will find, and the person who keeps knocking will have the door opened.
Mat 7:9 "There isn't a person among you who would give his son a stone if he asked for bread, is there?
Mat 7:10 Or if he asks for a fish, he wouldn't give him a snake, would he?
Mat 7:11 So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who keep on asking him!
Mat 7:12 Therefore, whatever you want people to do for you, do the same for them, because this summarizes the Law and the Prophets."
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhy do we have popes, priests and ministers when God says we no longer will?
If Jesus is the Messiah he brought about a new covenant. God had already told Jeremiah and Ezekiel what that new covenant would be. As part of the new covenant God said, "Jer 31:34 and they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying: 'Know the LORD'; " Jeremiah was a proven prophet. Why is what God said wrong and what men say right? Why do we have a new covenant, as taught by Christianity, that needs 27 books when God only needs 2 verses to say what the covenant would be. Is Jesus the Messiah and the new covenant is as God told Jeremiah or is Jesus not the Messiah.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah;
Jer 31:32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; forasmuch as they broke My covenant, although I was a lord over them, saith the LORD.
Jer 31:33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the LORD, I will put My law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people;
Jer 31:34 and they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying: 'Know the LORD'; for they shall all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWas there a concept of 'logos' in early Judaism, before Hellenistic Judaism?
Hellenism was merged with Judaism after the conquests of Alexander the Great in the Diaspora. Revolt against this led to the Maccabees and the Hasmonaean Dynasty. There are writings such as Ben Sira showing 'logos' as a female accompanying Moses and the Israelites. Was there a concept of 'logos before this and in old testament writings?

3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhat is "the house of Israel"?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhat is the Kingdom of God?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoChristians, Jesus said,"The kingdom of God is within you."?
So, is the kingdom of God within you or is the kingdom of God in a book.
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoChristians, is Jesus the Messiah?
Jeremiah 31:33-34 "This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after that time," declares the Lord. "I will put my law in their inward parts and write it on their hearts. I will be their God and they will be my people. No longer will a man teach his neighbour, or a man his brother saying, 'Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the Lord. "for I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
Above is the covenant that God said the Messiah would bring with him. Though Christians say that there is a new covenant they say that it is the rules that they teach. God's covenant says that a man would not teach another man. Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you," because God has written his laws on our hearts.
Jews say that this covenant is not in effect because Jesus was not the messiah. They fully expect the above covenant to be the covenant because it encompasses all the previous covenants and there will be no need for written rules because God will write his laws on our hearts.
Jeremiah 31:36 "Only if these decrees vanish from my sight," declares the Lord, "will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before me."
God has said that his covenant decrees will only vanish if the people of Israel cease to be a nation before him. This has not happened. God has kept his promise to them and brought them back together.
It comes down to two choices: 1. Christian rules are a crock and Jesus is the Messiah. The covenant is as God said the Messiah would bring and as Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you." 2. Jesus is not the Messiah.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWas Paul talking about his own letter he was writing at the time?
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Was Paul talking about his own letter at the time or was he talking about the Old Testament and why is he talking about good work when works mean nothing only acceptance of Jesus as Lord and Saviour?
