Why do people bash those who play Pokemon?
Almost every Pokemon topic I come across (haven't looked at Diamond/Pearl topics as I don't have those yet and I don't want to spoil any of it for myself), there is always a person or two whose answer solely consists of 'omg pokemanz for kids ur a loozer'.
I mean, the Pokemon RPG games have normally been of great quality. The TV show has ruined some of its image undoubtebly, as well as Pokemon games based off the TV show, but the RPG games are full of depth, strategy, and flat out fun. I don't see why people bother wasting minutes of their apparently empty lives going into Pokemon topics and ironically tell them to get a life. Makes no sense.

7 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoFirewall problem?
The firewall for my network was setup by the company that I pay for the service. However, it has blocked a vital piece of a webpage to a university I attend, and without it I can't register for classes online, etc.
I've tried contacting the company, but they were of no help in fixing this problem. Is there a program out there that'll let me bypass this firewall and let me access my university's services?
3 AnswersComputer Networking1 decade agoSo, if I'm reading this place right...?
...should it occur (probably won't), Buffalo/Pittsburgh in the 2nd round would be the epitome of bandwagoning and bandwagoning hatred? Am I right?
I mean, Penguin bandwagon, Sabre bandwagon, a good chunk of topics here are about one of those two wagons. It would be rather fitting for those wagons to clash and create a fire of some sort.
10 AnswersHockey1 decade agoSaturday Night. Leafs. Habs. Prediction?
Whoever wins this game effectively eliminate the loser from playoff contention, though the Islanders may still get in if they win out.
So, who wins on Saturday Night? Montreal or Toronto, with the playoffs on the line. Points go to whoever comes closest with the score (having picked the winner of course)
18 AnswersHockey1 decade agoWill Javy Lopez play Major League Baseball this year?
...and if so, for whom? He apparently signed with Colorado this year only to be released soon afterwards, so he's a free agent, but it seems like nobody wants him anymore, a far departure from his career year in 2003 with Atlanta.
7 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoA more serious Kenny Rogers question...?
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=281916...
Seems today Rogers had a clot in his arm and after removing it, he'll be out for half the season, much longer than the week or so most people thought a couple of days ago.
So, now what should the Tigers do? Seems like Durbin's going to temp his spot for now, but that probably won't last.
Oh, and no Rogers jokes please. This is a serious question, and I expect serious answers. Anything regarding Rogers' camera incident, brownfinger, etc., will be reported because its just immature and unnecessary.
4 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoThe college assistant coach Rick Dykes?
Some time ago I googled my own name, and apparently I share the name of an assistant who coached at Texas Tech and Arizona State, but the articles regarding the guy are a bit outdated.
Does anybody know where the man is at now?
1 AnswerFootball (American)1 decade agoIs there any way I can keep track of the college hockey tournament?
...because I don't have ESPN U and the major sports site's college hockey scoreboards are more than lacking in any live updating.
5 AnswersHockey1 decade agoWorst NFL team of the Super Bowl era?
Is it the Lions? The Browns? Or perhaps the Cardinals? Or maybe another team? Houston may be a decent answer too even though they've only been around for a handful of years. But, chances are most answers are going to be one of the first three.
15 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoCan Colorado catch Calgary for the 8 seed?
The Avs are 4 points away from Calgary, but the Flames do have a game in hand. Both their remaining schedules look rather difficult, but the two play each other two more times, including the season finale in the Pepsi Center.
23 AnswersHockey1 decade agoHave you ever drafted a fantasy team based solely on personal preference?
My question is a little vague, but I'll explain myself:
Have you ever, for example, drafted a team comprised mainly of guys from your favorite team, or guys that came from your alma matter/favorite college team? Something like that, where the actual quality of your team is secondary. Obviously, you wouldn't want to do it in a pay league or one you're trying to be competitive in, but in a league you are in perhaps just for fun, etc.?
7 AnswersFantasy Sports1 decade agoThree spots in the East. Seven teams. Who makes the playoffs?
As of today the standings in the NHL are as follows in the East:
6. Tampa Bay (84 pts, 8 games left)
7. NY Rangers (81 pts, 9 games left)
8. Carolina (80 pts, 9 games left)
9. Toronto (80 pts, 9 games left)
10. Montreal (80 pts, 8 games left)
11. NY Islanders (79 pts, 10 games left)
12. Florida (75 pts, 9 games left)
So, who takes spots 6, 7, and 8? No obvious fanboyism, please. Try to be objective with this.
