On my mother's side, the surname is Birkmeyer. There are a handful of variants like Burkmeier, Birkmier, etc. and I want to know the origin of the name. I can't tell if its Austrian or German, or perhaps something else. I understand that no one can provide a definitive answer, but a nudge in the right direction would be great.

I just got my used Gameboy Advanced and Pokemon Leaf Green in the mail. To start off, my game is unable to save, and I get an error message every time. Additionally, I get a message like "the 1m sub cicuit board is not installed" everytime I boot it up.
