I wanted to join the military but they are killing muslims in afghanistan/iraq and who knows where else. so i cannot join that. i considered police force but i heard they dont allow a beard and will only let you grow if you have a shaving disease. and even then its hard. (i have a muslim beard). Im going to university next year for computer science but i would choose to serve for a good cause anyday. any ideas?

for the past week or so, i feel terrible that something bad is gonna happen. i cant even tell if its for myself, my community, or the world itself. i prayed to allah to keep me away from the bad things that i feel for. anything else i can do?

my friend's family are muslims but they dont buy halal meat. they say that its too hard for them. my question is: when i go to my friends house, they have a rule that they all must eat at the table with every member. even i have to go. one thing i did that i think and his parents think was insulting was that i asked whether the meat is halal. i felt horrible and they felt horrible as well. though they did have some halal meat on the table, most of the meat were haram. i took the halal one and when dropping me off home after a while, my friends dad said that he wish he could be like me, who is always eating halal but he cant. he also said that its okay to eat haram meat if you say bismillah. he heard it from an imam at the masjid. my other friend also mentioned something like our prophet s.a.w. would be given meat from non muslims and he would take it and say bismillah.

note: im not talking about going to mcdonalds and saying bismillah, im say when you go to a friends house, get a gift, is it lawful to eat it if you say bismillah?

i always thought they were haram from last year but my friend, whose a good muslim, says that they use maple lodges 'zabiha halal' meat which is machine slaughter but use tape recorded verses to make it 'halal'. he also mentioned that zakir naik said that maple lodges 'halal' meat is halal (cant find the video). my friend also said that in the quran, it didnt mention that the animal should be slaughtered by living beings only (correct me). also some of my friends say that only the boneless and tenders are halal. with some research i found that only sargeant farms meat is halal. so im confused.

im a guy and i dont support gays and im straight. i come from a town where most of us are straight and for fun, ill say gay things to my guy friends like "oh you look hot" or "hey baby". yes this does sound disgusting but everyone knows its a joke and sometimes some of my friends will play along with it. but then it came to my attention that this might be haram in islam.

my friend was playing a song in guitar class and now its catchy. i asked him what the song was and i forgot!! all i know is a part of the music. it goes E on second string, then G# on first string then you repeat that once. then its D# on second string then G# on first string then you repeat that once. then its E on second string and D# , repeating once and then ending on E

i thought it was my hero by foo fighters but doesnt fit the song. any help?
