I would value your advise...

My dad has been unwell and despite my own health concerns I have dedicated and supported my Dad  in many ways for many years and I truly love supporting my Dad. 

I work full time I am a teacher and at times I can do with a little support. 

My sister offers very little support 

I can't begin to tell you the excuses that she makes. 

My sister lives alone with no dependants and she dedicates her time mostly to her friends. 

When I suggest or ask or give my opinion 

She screams at me and becomes very confrontational aggressive and verbally abusive. 

We are both in our late 40s 

Over the years I have become use to her lack of support. 

However her abusive behaviour towards me is unbelievable . She has no suggestions regarding my Dad's failing health and when I try to take the lead or make suggestions I recieve the Roath of her tongue 

How would you manage this situation 

Any advise please? 

My best friend mother suddenly passed away

My friend has a large extended family. 

When someone passes 

I sometimes struggle with how much or how little support I should be offering during theses sad times. 

She calls me every day and we talk  and I went to visit my friend and I gave her some money and cooked her a meal. 

Any advise on what else I can do to show my suppor? 

Where is the best place to visit 

Maine or Los Angeles? 

My elderly mom she is aged 83 sadly 

Contracted the virus 

During that time her symptoms were horrendous high temperature breathless 

And low Oxygen. 

She is now day 30 since being tested positive 

All her test are now  negative 

However she remains sleepy at times  with loss of appetite. 

Any ideas what we can do to support her 

She has had the vaccine 

Is she out of the woods now at day 30? 

Any advise or similar story would be greatly apreciated

I would like to write a book to be published

Any ideas where I can begin

Who do I approach with my idea of the book

I have known this friend for many years.

She has been living apart from her partner  for many  years he works away and he won't allow her to visit 

Every time he is due to come home he makes up a lot of excuses and leaves her hanging on and he don't turn up with no explanation. 

My friend calls me and she pretends that all is well and she makes a lot of excuses for him. 

When I try to be a friend and encourage her to talk to him about his behaviour she gets annoyed with me and gives me the cold shoulder for a few days. 

I find it very hard to go along with her excuses about him 

I try to make her understand that she needs to communicate with him and let him know how She feels

I am frustrated because she calls me upset but don't listen what I have to say 

How do I manage this  situation? 

I care about her 

I am a few years away from retiring.

I have a large mortgage on my current property. 

I have found this one bed room apartment at a reduce cost in a desirable area and I am thinking of renting my current property and buy this apartment without selling my current property. 

My question is do think increasing debt before retiring is a wrong move 

I desperately trying to have one more chance of investing and hopefully make a right decision 

What is your thoughts please 

Am I being boring?

I have cancelled Christmas this year 

The year 2020 has been awful with the pandemic and the current state of the economy. 

I have worked flat out since the country lockdown 

My friend says this should not be the case and I should keep Christmas the same

I plan to slim down Christmas no tree buy very little presents.

I prefer to donate the money to charity

I have been nominated to write a poem for a nurse who is retiring after 30 years  nursing she has worked very hard throughout thoes years

She is a vegetarian 

She is very organised and creative 

and very clever

and now she is pregnant for the second time Would you be concerned?

My dad is in a nursing home  and I struggle not seeing him due to the virus. 

My Husband has Cancer 

and my son has been going through challenging times and need my support. 

I have two friends  who both telephone me every day and off load with various things going on in their lives every time we talk 90 percent of the conversation is about them and they barely ask about me. They are aware of my situation 

Why are they like this? 

I really do need time out however I don't want to offend them. 

How would you manage this situation? 

Other then just switch my phone off 

My step daughter is 20 she already has a young baby aged 10 months 

My stepdaughter telephoned and told me that she is pregnant she has asked me to keep it a secret until she is ready to tell her father my husband. 

( I already know my husband will be very concerned how she will cope with two small children) also he will be very angry. 

His daughter is unmarried and her partner is aged 40. 

My husbands friend called me and said that he saw my step daughter and she looked very sad is everything OK with her. 

I am feeling very upset that my step daughter told me to keep her secret from her dad 

I feel torn and anxious I have asked my stepdaughter several times to please tell her dad 3 weeks later she has not said a word. 

Help what should I do? and why do I keep feeling that it will back fires on me for keeping her secret

My son who is 26 years old lives at home. I have been a single parent since he was 3 years old. 

When he was younger I worked very hard I went to university finished my degree then went on to do my masters. This is so that  in the future we would  never have to suffer financially. 

Just recently my son dropped a bombshell and told me that he resents me because I was an absent parent when he was younger and he had many caregivers all family members  because of this he  suffers with self confidance and anxiety. 

This has made me feel remorseful and wish that I can rewind back time. 

Working so hard back then was never my intention to ever make him feel this way. 

Prior to him telling me this 

I have always supported him 

New car live rent free so that he can save money. I paid his university fees 

I cook his meals and I always tell him that I love him 

When ever he gets annoyed he then let's me know how he felt back then

Please share your Menopause symptoms

I am not sure if feeling anxious and palpitations are symptoms of Menopause I thought it was just hot flushes

I have a wonderful girlfriend she is lovely in lovely in every way.

Sadly she lives apart from her husband for many reasons. 

When ever myself and my husband go on vacation she ask a multitude of questions when?  where? How much?    and when will I be back.

Whist we are away I feel like a child who is   about  to  be scolded knowing when I return there will be a fury of questions.

At times I feel like I dont ever want to tell her anything and I continually down play what we are doing

Every weekend she asks the same questions when are we getting together.

The other day I went out with a neighbour and My friend  found out  I avoided my friends calls for a few days and hoped she would have forgotten  when I eventually spoke to my friend the first question she ask was How was the meal? Where did you go? Her questioning was very sarcastic

Unfortunately many of my friends are unmarried I do try my best to share myself with friends and hubby .

I have recently returned from a one week vacation and during that time I felt uneasy and I felt like I was preparing in my head the answers ready to give her on my return 

This particular friend I cant work out why she behaves in this way?

What should I do?  Advise please

Or are you thinking people  who are Non white.

I live in a nice neighbourhood 

I have a large mortgage left on my property  $100,000

I am thinking about downsizing to reduce the mortgage 

I am keen to retire in the next two years.

My brother has offered to pay my mortgage off  however he want to be put on the deeds..

My worry is I have a son and if my brother pays off my mortgage my son will receive no future  inheritance
