  • what are some great ways to lose that resistant "baby fat pooch"in the lower abs/saggy booty?

I am a sahm of a toddler and so have only 1 hr in the morning and 1 hr in the evening for my excersise..since having my son I cant get rid of the "pooch" (like a darn fanny pack!) in my lower abs! In the past year I have run, cross trained, kept food diaries (sparkpeople), and an excersise diary. My typical week consists of 6 running days where I run anywhere from 4-7 miles a day,and in the evening work on strength training, swiss ball, core training..the "pooch" has been getting smaller over the course of a year but no real improvement! Help! the muscles have been deemed healthy (as in some cases pregnancy weakens the ab muscles), so whats the deal? I stand at 64", large bone frame and 149 pounds and stuck with this ugly, saggy pooch and saggy booty!

  • 2yr old diagnosed w/ adhd, any homeopathic info you can give me (Of course will consult w/dr!) ?Im desperate!?

My 2 year old son was diagnosed this week with adhd. The doctor hasnt said much about it other than to want to push meds. I hate to think of my young son on meds, what homeopathic remedies do you know of, can you link me to a group that has kids with adhd and are trying to work through it without prescription meds? or, other than cammomile tea (which has been working very lightly), can anyone recommend anything for my VERY active ADHD son? I will of course clear your recommendations with my dr, but, I just need something I can start with. Also, can anyone recommend a great book on adhd and toddlers/children? I will be so very greatful! I love my son very much, but his adhd is exhausting!

  • How can I get through to my parents regarding my raising my son?

Ok...so, we've all heard of loving but, way too nosey parents...you know the kind...every other phrase is.."well, you know, you shouldnt do that.." or, "let him do that.." or just parents that forget that I am 30 years old and its MY SON...I guess what I am saying is, my parents-though I love them dearly-are grandparents who try to parent my son and, though we dont live close to one another (hours away) when I visit them with my son I have to prepare myself for my parents meddling and critizing my parenting skills!!!!!!!!!!! Im not a child, but they seem to want to treat me like one when it comes to my son,...and, I often have fights with my father when I tell my son "J...Ive told you NOT to hit the cat...time out!" and my father comes along and literally has said "don't listen to your mother and come here.." and my son goes with my father! Im made to feel and look like an irresponsible bad kid! I cant ever seem to be able to teach him right from wrong when I visit my parents! Help!

  • what is the best way to travel-by greyhound bus-with a 2 year old?

My son is two, very squirmy and, I almost always have to get one of those "high chair-booster seats" and carry it along so I can strap him in...but the darn thing can be so bulky! He doesnt STAY in his seat (just the bus seat) for anything (even on short 5 hour trips) ..........(so, this has been my temporary solution...and as a SAHM and navy wife...i just dont have the money to travel much by flying so, I try and bus it home when I can)and..although I know he's at a squirmy age, I need some sanity and some good advice...Ive heard that there are some...sort of fold up "travel vests"...I know eddie bauer makes one with a 5 point harness that folds up...is this a good solution??? thanks so much for ANY, ANY tips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
