1 AnswerNotices and Errors8 years agoTreats for pet Geese?
Hey Guys i was wondering if their where any treats we could give our goslings so they can learn to come when called and get used to us holding and cuddling them. The breeder we got them off, told us if we give them a bit of lettuce then they will follows us around and come to us. Well i have no idea if every person in my family is doing something wrong but they will not eat the stuff!! They walk straight past it! They are still a bit small at 2 weeks so that could be why. But we really want to be able to hold and pat our geese when bigger, and let them in the house, and i think treats and small yummy rewards will soon have them sitting in our lap. What do you give your geese? How should we get them used to us?
3 AnswersBirds9 years agoWhat breed of dog is best for geese/duck/chicken protection?
We are soon getting a large number of geese, ducks and chickens. But we have a very bad fox problem. We have tried shooting them, trapping them etc.. but when they die more come and fill their place. So we are going to get a dog to drive the fox away and protect the animals. But what breed is best? My family doesn't really what a HUGE dog, we would prefer a medium dog. But in the end it wont really matter.
Thanks

8 AnswersHorses9 years agoPoisonous plant?? HELP!?
So finely after years of wanting a horse, nagging my parents and saving up my parents are looking to put a paddock in the backyard, so i can get a horse!!!! but the guy who owned our house before us had a horse and Apparently it ate some kind of grass and died, it did die, but poisonous grass?? We do have poisonous weeds but i will and do pull them out daily if we put a paddock in the backyard. Any idea what it was? And how to maintain and kill it, because I don’t want to get a horse and have it die. We live in Australia, so the weeds may be different.

I have no idea what pet to get! I'll spend heaps of time with it, and i have 2 acres. I don't want a cat, dog or bird. I already have pet rats, i was thinking of a goat or a pet frog?? I want something unusual or a farm animal, but it can't be too big...any suggestions??
5 AnswersOther - Pets9 years agoRescue or buy?? PLEASE help?
So i have loved horse for ever! I'm 13 turning 14 and have 5 years riding experience, and like to help friends look after their horses and everything.
Recently my parents have agreed to let me get a small pony like a Shetland or mini for my birthday. Not to ride but to look after and show them that i'm ready for the responsibility then they will think about a 14hh horse that i can ride. My brother is also interested in in learning to ride (he is 6)
I don't know whether i should buy or rescue a pony from the slaughter house. This will be my first pony and i don't know what to feed a thin and neglected horse, and how much i should feed it. Im an experienced rider and have heaps of horsey experience but im really stressing that i'll rescue a pony but fail to bring it back to health. I really feel the need to rescue, and i want to rescue and give the pony a forever home but is it the right thing to do??? If i rescued my riding instructor and my very horse friend would come over at least 1 a week to help me if i needed it.
Thanks
10 AnswersHorses9 years agoHELP MONEY MAKING IDEAS?
So i have loved horses since i was 4. They are my life line and passion
Recently my parents said i could get a mini horse, since we can't afford a big one.
I know everything i can about them, i have been riding for 5 yrs. and help with other peoples horses.
We have a 2 acre property, with big trees for shade and a river down the back. Don't say that little horses are the same as big horses, they cost as much and crap. My mum and dad can't afford to shoe and feed a big horse. Yes i know that little horses are the same as big ones but they do cost heaps less. Okay back to the question, My friend is selling her mini horse colt. I know he will need to be gelded. I need to save up $500 by august to be able to get him, because my mum and dad want to see if i give up on this. But i need money making ideas
So if you have money making ideas THAT WILL WORK then please posted!
Mum and dad have thought about this!!!!!! They have it wasn't a nag that got me here they said i could get one!
