The problem in the book reads, " A rocket is launched straight up with constant acceleration. Four seconds after liftoff, a bolt falls off the rocket. The bolt hits the ground 6 seconds later. What is the acceleration of the rocket?"

I used the formula: x= Vi * t +1/2a* t^2

Using 0 as the initial velocity, 4 seconds for time, and 9.8m/s for the acceleration for gravity.

My answer was 78.4 m/s but I think I may be missing something?

Trying to decide what to do with a girl I recently met. I've come up with a few and can't decide which to choose. I may end up texting her and telling her to choose a number, we'll see.

Anyway, so far I have:

No. 1 - Fishing at the local river or lake and packing a picnic for us.

No. 2 - Going to the driving range.

No. 3 - I work at a hotel and there is an 'art night' next week, however I don't want to introduce her to my coworkers until I'm certain how I feel.

I met this girl in class and we hit it off almost right away. We would talk and flirt all the time but now she is acting distant like it didn’t happen? She’s been like this for close to a month now. Just looking for a good/delicate way to find out.

Not really a question, just gotta get this off my chest. I asked a girl out today who would not tell me no. She made the first move a while back and I just went with it. She started by saying she had to work the weekend, then made another excuse. I said if no, just tell me. Then she said she was 'seeing someone.' I guess the point is, girls be blunt. I'd feel better with a straight no than made up excuses.

I stopped by the mall after work and this girl, we started talking a bit. She seemed shy so I took it really slow. She started asking questions about me and I just went from there. However; I didn't go in for 4 or 5 days and now she acts like we never talked?

I'm going to ask this girl out. I've known her the better part of two years. We're kind of friends not extremely close or anything though. I stopped in to her work to ask her out tues. but she wasn't there. I have the intention of going back but the building layout makes it seem like it would be awkward - it's set back off a retail store by a short hall way. Can I get away with sending flowers and saying stopped by earlier, you weren't in. sorry, should have done this sooner ...coffee?

I currently am in college and have decided I enjoy working with my hands more. I have worked construction before and am looking into going into residential plumbing. My question is how do I go about finding these companies that can train apprentices, and what is the order - do I take classes and then get a job or get a job then classes?
