Whenever I sit to study Science, I feel like "Oh ****! What am I studying about some cold atoms and molecules when millions of people cannot eat properly!". I feel a strange empathy for them. That is why, I cannot concentrate in Science subjects.My exams are nearby. Please help!

In this age of so much chaos and so many social issues, shouldn't we be studying social sciences and try to make a change in it? Why should we, at that time, spend our time on some stupid atoms and molecules? Shouldn't we try to make a better economical and political system?

For example, look at Sociology. It studies social behaviour mostly without psychology and neuroscience. Without these, how can social science be confident of their results?

There are so many Social problems - racism, social stratification, religious conflicts, etc. . Can psychology solve these without Sociology?

I think Sociology is the only study that can solve social problems by understanding it best. What do you think?

I was interested in Science all my life until recently, I felt Science to be inhuman and selfish. Even study of psychology, to me, is selfish. Don't we have to first change this world, which can be done by understanding the society, which can be done by studying sociology.

Isn't studying molecules and other physical things inhuman? Why shouldn't we try to make our world better by understanding it and changing it by Sociology?

I have seen that Sociology courses have very little Psychology courses. My question is that - how is it possible? Afterall, society is a collection of individuals; individuals with mind. So, if we don't know psychology sufficiently, how can Sociology be studied?

I am a 17 year old boy. I live in India. Living in such a 'developING' country, I hate living in luxury. My family is middle class, but my parents tries their best to maintain social status. But I don't like it. I like to live simple, eat simple but THINK HIGH. I can't stand girls putting makeup (I feel it is a kinda disguise to deceive people) and wearing short dresses, laughing and giggling with friends and going to bars, parties, etc... nor do I like boys roaming around and behind girls and thinking about sex and showing off with expensive phones and then, these people, talking about freedom and Human Rights!

In short, I am non-materialistic and anti-social. Should I change myself? How?

I have been a fan of Eminem long. But recently, I came upon 2pac. To me, 2pac is much greater in terms of flow. His flow perfectly matches with the beat.

Whereas, Eminem, as I have observed, is more like Lil Wayne, and has the habit of violating beat. It is more like that Eminem recites a poem rather than rapping. Am I wrong?
