DVI to HDMI, or VGA-to-VGA?
Hi
I have a PC with VGA and DVI output, and a monitor which has a VGA and HDMI input. I basically want to know whether I should go for VGA to VGA, or DVI to HDMI?
Which would give a better quality picture?
Thanks.
2 AnswersOther - Electronics8 years agoNeed help simplifying equation, Fourier Series of f(t) = t^2 +t?
I had to calculate over odd range, therefore calculated b_0, as a_0 and a_n= 0 for odd range(apparently!)
For b_0 got: [-2/n] [cos(n*pi) - pi*cos(n*pi)]
I think that is right then I don't know how to simplify when putting into the equation
f(t) ~ [-2/n] [cos(n*pi) - pi*cos(n*pi)] sin(n*pi)
I need to simplify this, the way you do cos(n*pi) = (-1)^n

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

2 AnswersMathematics8 years agoUndergraduate Maths Question HELP! Fourier series, sine, cosine stuff.?
If anyone can please help me with any of these questions. I don't even know where to start.
__________________________________________________________________________________
1) Use the even half-range of the extension of the function (plot the function)
f(x) = sin(x) for 0 <= x <= pi
to find its Fourier Series representation over -pi <= x <= pi
__________________________________________________________________________________
2) Use the odd half-range of the extension of the function (plot the function)
f(t) = t + t^2 for 0 <= x <= pi
to find its Fourier Series representation over -pi <= x <= pi

2 AnswersMathematics8 years agoWill release of Intel Haswell reduce price of Ivy Bridge?
Hi
I wanted to buy a custom built PC, the spec I'm currently looking at is;
CPU: Ivy Bridge Intel Core i5 3470
CPU Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Operating System: No Operating System Required
Motherboard: Asus P8B75-M LX
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333mhz (2x4GB)
Hard Drive: 1000GB TB S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s
Optical Drive: 24x DVD±RW DL S-ATA
Graphics card: Onboard Intel
Sound card: Onboard 7.1 Audio
Internet: Wireless 802.11N 300Mbps MIMO PCI card
Keyboard & Mouse: Generic Wired Keyboard and Mouse
Speakers: Logitech S220
Monitor: 23 inch Samsung Monitor
Case: CIT Shadow ATX Case with mesh front
PSU: 500W Xigmatek
This comes to about £520.
I'm going to install the Operating system myself.
The most "intensive" task I'll probably be doing is editing and burning DVD's,
Being a student on a VERY tight budget, I'm wondering;
1) Firstly, whether the Ivy Bridge processor will get cheaper in about June when the newer Intel processors are released? Or shall I just purchase it now? (I currently have a laptop, which is running quite strong yet, so not in too much of a hurry)
2) Secondly, is my spec good? I need it to run strong for at least 5 years.
Any advice is appreciated, thank you.
5 AnswersComputer Networking8 years agoHow easy is it to install Windows 7 on a Brand New Custom built PC?
Hi
Basically, I'm going to purchase a Custom Built PC, either from DinoPC or Chillblast. I've already got a Windows 7 CD and I don't want to pay another £70/£80 to have Windows 7 preinstalled.
I've just wondering how easy would it be to install on a Brand New PC?
Because I read somewhere that it's quite difficult as you have to download the appropriate "drivers and software"????
And something about BIOS (I don't even know what that is!)?
Thank you for reading. Any help would be appreciated. But, please only use basic English, as I'm not very computer savvy!
5 AnswersSoftware9 years agoMakeup routine for dry red skin?
Hi
Firstly, I'm a newbie when it comes to makeup.
I have really dry skin and i also go blush really easily (a LOT!). i have a green lipstick style concealer type thing (some cheap make) and on top i used to wear collection 2000 foundation and then a tiny pit of powder. But on some days when my skin is too dry, it looks flaky.
SO i read about mineral powder, and i bought a cheap Rimmel loose powder online, and now i wear the green and a bit of this mineral powder. But, it makes me look orangey like I have a fake suntan or something.
I use my fingers to apply the green, and puffy style brush for the powder.
Also I moisturise before i do anything and let the the cream stay for 5/10 mins.
I really need a simple everyday makeup routine which just covers up my blemishes and looks totally natural.
I basically, need some good recommendations, and also if i have to use special brushes or anything. i dont want something to over the top as i have never had spots in my life but since starting to wear makeup i neraly ALWAYS get a few little spots.
I don't want something too expensive as I don't want to add them to my collection of unused makeup.
I have a Collection 2000 concealer magic wand thing and Collection 2000 liquid concealer which i never use as i dont end up "covering" it properly.
Please help, I have a Wedding coming up and don't want to look sunburnt or a ghost.
P.S. My skin tone is a very light olive colour (half asian, half white)
Thank you so much.

2 AnswersBirmingham9 years agoConnecting iPhone to Ford Fiesta CD player?
Hi
I have a Ford Fiesta Finesse 2005 with a built in CD player system like the one in the link below and I wanted to listen to music off my iPhone. How can I connect the iPhone to my cars speaker system?
I need a fairly cheap and simple method.
Any help would be appreciated. And please not too technical answers as I don't know much about cars.
Thanks.
2 AnswersCar Audio9 years agoFord fiesta finesse 1.25 2005 - fit remote central locking?
Hi
I bought a ford fiesta finesse 1.25 2005 and it has the one master blue key. I wanted one with a remote but I think it doesn't have remote central locking. Is there any way I can do that? Even if the remote jus opens the car and doesn't start the car.
Preferably NOT with a Ford dealer as there prices can be steep and I just about afforded a car and insurance.
By the way I do not understand a lot of technical stuff about cars. So English please!
Thanks.
3 AnswersFord9 years agoCalculus problem - population growth?
Model for population growth is given by differential equation:
dP/dt = c log(P/K)P, where c is constant and K the carrying capacity.
There's 2 parts to this question;
a) solve the differential equation by using the substitution u = log(P/K)
b) work out the limit lim(as t tends to infinity) P(t)
ANY help would be greatly appreciated. And please show a detailed explanation.
Thank you.
3 AnswersMathematics9 years agoHelp solving inhomogeneous equation?
I don't know how to solve this equation. All I have found out that it is an inhomogeneous equation?!?
I need to know how you can solve this equation: (d^2 y)/(dx^2 )+ 6dy/dx+ 9y = 9x-3
to get it in the form; y=Ae^(-3x)+ Bxe^(-3x)+ x-1
where A and B are arbitrary constants.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and please explain it in detail as I have googled it but it seems like gibberish as I am totally new to this topic.
Thank you VERY much.
