What are some good recent adventure games?
I liked ancient "Grim Fandango" (1998) because it was immersive with good music and funny one-liners. Are there recent comparable games? Something movie-like with many interesting characters and plots, little like Assassin's Creed but with less jumping around?

6 AnswersRock and Pop9 months agoMusical bloopers that remained on released record?
You know bloopers or goofs in movies, those small revealing and funny mistakes.
Sometimes bloopers occur in released audio recordings. I'm going to mention a few:
- "Hey Jude" - John's spoken "whoah" on 2:58 followed by swearing a few seconds later (reaction to his headphones being too loud).
- "Child In Time" (Japan) - "gunshot" at 10:00 mark (probably a glitch in Jon's Hammond) - a source of urban legends.
- "Roxanne" - first 7-8 seconds, flanging of loose recording tape, random hit on keyboard, and Sting's laugh. (allegedly Sting accidentally sat on a keyboard)
- "Love Shack" - Cindy's shout "Tin roof rusted!” @3:50 . According to Kate Pierson interview "some of the instrumentation was pre-recorded, and all of a sudden it stopped, just as Cindy was in full throttle, yelling, “Tin roof rusted!” The tape had stopped, but she kept going. And that’s actually how we got that part. It wasn’t planned. It just happened."
Do you know similar examples?

18 AnswersRock and Pop10 months agoMovies with good post-credit scenes?
I mean post-credit scenes that resolve a plotline or provide comic relief.
Post-credit teasers for new movies like in MCU superhero movies doesn't count.

I am working on a decorative illustration that could symbolize romantic love so I decided on silhouettes of two animals in the moonlight. Doves are out of question, simply too cheesy. I was thinking of throwing in a pinch of passion so wolves maybe? Any suggestions?

32 AnswersRock and Pop11 months agoWhy don't they put fins on napalm bombs?
One explanation was that such bombs are supposed to spread so accuracy is not desired.
I was not convinced because they also drop them from single aircraft on point targets.
My guess is that napalm doesn't work well at high impact velocities, so absence of stabilizer works like retarding device - a bomb tumbles in air which increases drag and reduces speed. Am I guessing right?

2 AnswersCooking & Recipes11 months agoArrow as a symbol in a logo?
Arrows in signs and logos usually mean up/down/left/right. But arrows also may suggest forward/backward direction. For people from Western culture, → is also "forward" and ← is "backward". What about other cultures like Arabic or Hebrew, which use right-to-left alphabets? Does a logo with → arrow intended to suggest forward motion (e.g. FedEx, Dunlop) risk to be misunderstood in other cultures?
