I have an HP personal computer running Windows Vista. I frequently get error messages, including blue screen messages. I always get an error about some nVideo driver helper software not working and being closed. What is driver verification? Is it software in Vista or on the web? How can I check to see that my drivers are valid? How can I update nVidio drivers? What web site can teach me about these issues?

I have an HP PC with Windows Vista. For weeks it crashed occasionally, usually while running Internet Explorer. It often gives a message about the file nvvsvc.exe being a problem. So today, Norton 360 says it fighting a Trojan attack, and the system will only start in Safe Mode. I've done system restore 3 times already, going back about 10 days. But it only starts in safe mode. Give me some ideas. Where can I get an updated nvvsvc.exe file? How can I force it to open in normal Windows vista? How can I tell WHY it only opens in safe mode?

I have IE9 and Windows Vista. Very often when I click the down arrow for 'show address bar auto complete" it crashes. It also crashes often when I click in the address box. After it crashes, I have to restart it several times until it works right. How can I fix this? Is there a patch? What causes it?

I have a HP PC with Windows Vista. If I leave Internet Explorer and lock my computer, when I come back to Yahoo mail, I have to type my user id and password. I have the box checked to "remember me." Its very frustrating. The result is that I have to type in my user id several times a day, even though I checked the box and I'm the only one on this machine.

Note: I'm on a cable modem with a router. And one other person sometimes uses the other PC to go into Yahoo, but she would have a different IP address, right?

It used to be if I typed in my son's name,his email address would pop up, because he's in my email address book. Now it doesn't. Also, recently I disabled Java in Internet Explorer because the US Dept of Defense said it was a good idea. I suspect disabling Java disabled auto-complete. Is there a way around this? Should I re-enable Java? is Yahoo working on a version that doesn't use Java?

I have an Amana electric oven and range. It says "the big Oven" on the front panel. Its a flat, glass stove top. Someone tried to clean it using the automatic cleaning. They opened the front oven door before it started. The door locked while the door was open. In other words, the MECHANICAL slide that holds the door locked moved to lock the door while the door was open. Now the door won't close properly and the light is on. How can I unlock it?
