My Pastor is retiring this year. He is bringing in a few possible replacements to preach and to be interviewed in a congregational meeting.

We already know these men since they are the most popular that we picked for options.

But what questions should I ask them in regards to see if they are the right pastor for us? Possible questions for their wives as well? Their will be the "mother" of the church.

Any questions that will show they will best serve our church and also the community? Question that show he is God's will for us?

Questions that is for the benefit of the church and not just for me?

What do you think about Elliott Morgan's comment that people worshipers Darwin? Remember he said he believed in evolution.

Are you absolutely sure that what you know is true?

Let's be generous and say you know 60% of all the knowledge there is to know about the universe.

Is it possible that something from the 40% of the knowledge you don't know could disprove something you do know?

So if you don't know everything, do you really know anything?

So if you believe you know there is no God, is it possible that the proof hasn't been revealed yet to you? So can you be absolutely sure there is no God?

It is scientificly proven that the universe is expanding. And we know the universe is finite.

Some also say the universe, matter and energy is all there is.

If the universe is all there is then into what is the universe expanding?

Into nothingness? Then the nothingness exist or will eventually exist when the universe expands into it.

Then the universe is not all there is.

If the universe is 14 billion years old, how do they measure that?

Is that Earth year? If the Earth is only 4 billion years old who's clocked do you measure the 10 billion years before the Earth existed?

Time is relative. So one's 14 billion years could be another's 14 million years?

The TV movie Game Change a biopic of Sarah Palin, just won best tv movie at the Golden Globes last night. And Julianne Moore won best actress.

My question is WHY?

Are all the voters liberals?

A better question is did the makers of this movie seriously think this was a real accurate biopic? Or were they just purposefully making fun of Palin?

If you haven't seen it they made Palin look like a complete political illiterate idiot. Did they seriously think she was that way or just over playing it for comedic reasons?

I agree with them in thinking she was totally not the right person for VP. She was totally lack of experience. That's why I didn't vote for her and voted libertarian.

But seriously she was not that stupid as they protrayed her.

By saying that you are insulting the intellect of the Alaskan people that voted her governor.

I'm not saying at all Lord of the Rings are boring. They are quite long. But that's how Tolkien wrote.

I thought of a way it could have been much much shorter. The characterd especially Gandalf, could have destoyed the ring quicker and not as many people had to die.

Why couldnt the eagles fly Frodo over to Mt Doom?

Yes, the fell beasts would have attacked but the eagles can take them.

And yes in The Hobbit they have to ask Elrond how to read the map. The eagles could have flown them to Riverdale. And yes they still have to kill Smaug the Dragon to reclaim Erebor. But the eagles could have at least flown them that far.

Thoughts?

Is there an actually reason why this couldn't happen using the laws of Middle Earth? Besides you won't have much of a movie.

I'm trying to understand the trinity more and this verse is confusing me.

In the trinity The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are 3 separate persons are but 1 united God.

The Father is not the Son. The Son is not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not the Father.

So here's the verse.

Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child in born, unto us a son is given. The government shall be upon His shoulder and His name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting "FATHER", The Principles of Peace."

This is a well known verse especially during Christmas. This is a prophecy of the coming Jesus Christ The Son of the trinity.

But if this talking about the Son, why does it say He will be called everlasting "Father"? The Father and the Son are separate. The Son, the Word became man not the Father.

At the beginning of Brad Paisley's "Southern Comfort Zone" before the music plays there are snippets of some audio. I know one is the Andy Griffith Show and the other is Eddie Stubbs at the Grand Ole Opry. What is the third one? I know its Darrell Waltrip annoucing a NASCAR race. He says though "a crash in turn 4."

Is that the telacast of the 2001 Daytona 500? The last lap crash where we lost the Great Dale Earnhardt?

Huge Star Wars fans on a journey. Well their van is AWESOME! One way is the horn plays a Wookiee sound!

How can I do that to my own truck? What do I need to buy to be able to record a sound for my horn?

I have a serious question about the flu vaccine. If someone chooses to get it I understand and respect their decision. Also, if someone chooses not to get it I understand and respect their decision.

What I don't understand is the argument that those that want to get the vaccine. They have a problem with those that don't get it and want to make it mandate it.

WHY?

If you have the vaccine why does it matter if someone else doesn't? If you're vaccinated and you're around someone that isnt vaccinated and has the flu then you should be fine. What's your worry? Unless you don't fully trust the vaccine 100%?
