military member support protest on social media?
can a service member voice their support for the protest on social media? Seen a bunch of my military buddies posting some stuff, and was wondering if it's okay. I'm trying to help them out from making a mistake that can harm their military career. Pretty sure that service members are restricted from supporting the riots, or anything violent in nature. I'm also certain that service members freedom of speech is heavily restricted anything political, and since protests are normally political in nature, and it's possible to see the George Floyd protest political.
3 AnswersPolitics11 months agoWhy are Taiwanese so offended when called Chinese?
I don't know much about Chinese history, but wasn't Taiwan part of China before the the Chinese civil war? After the Chinese Communists won on the mainland, the Chinese Nationalists retreated and relocated their government to Taiwan, officially called the Republic of China, along with many civilians. So from my point of view, that makes majority of Taiwanese population ethnically Han Chinese. I don't mean to offend anybody, just really curious.
5 AnswersTay Nguyen2 years agoBattle of Myeongnyang?
I'm doing typing up a battle analysis paper for my class and i chose the Battle of Myeongnyang. Is there any books or articles i should look into? I found a few that mentioned it, about the battle but never gave much detail about it like the tactics and the equipment used by both sides. I'd also like to know about both sides leadership, logistics, and training.

5 AnswersMilitary6 years agoIs it easier to switch from National Guard to Active Duty officer during wartime?
I know we are technically currently at war in Afghanistan, but what i mean is if the war escalates. Like IF, a big IF, the U.S. begin to deploy more troops back to Iraq to fight against ISIS. Or if there was an all-out war in Korea, would that increase my chance to switch from National Guard to Active Duty Officer? I heard some story that it was possible to switch back then like post-9/11 and when bush sent more troops to iraq.
Thanks
