One Color or Multi-Colored Species?
At times I feel like racism and prejudice are all around me, harming me, and that makes me wonder. Would you prefer the human race to be the way it is with people coming in different colors, but also having to endure racism, prejudice, and hate by bigoted individuals who don't accept differences. Or would you prefer a one-colored species which may eliminate those problems but might leave the world a little bland. Of course people will always find something else to fight about, but may not judge you on the person you were born as, but the person you choose to be. It's really sad how people get judged immediately on things they cannot control, so do you think it would be better if we were are one color instead?
4 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups7 years agoHonestly, why do people believe in God?
Honestly, do you believe that a spirit created the universe and knows everyone and everything? Why is it that things such as evolution, geology, and science eventually replaced or is replacing creationism and other nonsensical religious ideologies? Come on, it's rational thinking.
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoIs it wrong to dislike the human race?
Look at our species. We could be considered the destroyers of the world. We are a major contributors to climate change and environmental harm, and have little to no sympathy for other animals and plants. Instead we destroy everything in the name of development and for our personal needs. We are so shallow that we even discriminate within ourselves. We judge others by skin color, sex, nationality, and other factors instead of working together and looking past those factors. So, I generally don't like our species. Is it wrong?
4 AnswersOther - Social Science8 years agoAre schools killing creativity?
I read about the American school system, and the more I read, the more I think needs to change. I think the school system doesn't reflect the 21st century ideals of individualism and creativity. Students are taught there is 1 and only 1 way of doing something. It feels like schools and colleges are now just trying to cough up people who are all the same and people who don't solve problems creatively. I also hear standardized testing is increasing, which will further try to isolate individualism. I heard that more children are prescribed and diagnosed with ADHD, not because they have a disease, but because the are not the "normal," factory produced students like the others. The thing is, we are all different with different strengths, weaknesses, and interests. Why doesn't the school system try to embrace that? It is shown, increasingly, that companies and corporations that embrace creativity have made more contributions and success than those who try to do things the traditional way. This will hamper growth and will make work a drag. I really think the school system needs to change, what about you guys?
1 AnswerPrimary & Secondary Education8 years agoMississippi passed 13th amendment this year?
What the hell is this? Almost 150 years after slavery and Mississippi still hasn't formally passed the amendment prohibiting slavery. This is really sad. Tell me what you think.
3 AnswersCurrent Events8 years agoWhen would I use high school education?
I'm a 17 year old man. Ok, before you call me a whining teen, please tell me when I am going to need to know chromosome duplication. First of all, I go to school, obviously. Many of the things I think we learn are general knowledge and will not help us much with life. I think more hands on subjects like that PE and World Languages are more useful. In PE, you learn about how to stay fit and keep yourself healthy. In Language classes, you learn another language which could help you communicate with someone who doesn't know English. But I believe the core subjects are much too general and don't help you with life as much. In History, you only learn about the past. I know important information like who founded America and the Civil War. But why would I need to go so in depth about history when we are living in the present. English, to me, seems like the most useless. All we do is read stories, take tests, write essays, and learn vocabulary. When would I ever need to use this piece of literature in my life? In Science, I know something is working. The question is, why would I want to know or even care about why it is working. I don't need to know about our chromosomes and how cells duplicate. When would I ever need to know that? Lastly, we have math. This seems somewhat useful as you might use math to solve everyday problems. But what we mostly focus on, is the problem, not it's incorporation to the real world. We barely scratch the surface on preparing for the real world. I think many of the things we learn in high school should be taught in specific college courses where you get to choose what you want to be and what information to use. I heard that 90% of the things we learn, we forget and never use. Thanks for preparing me for life school system. What do you think about the high school curriculum?

Just wondering which one out of the two you like better and why.
3 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups8 years agoWhy do people hate homosexuals?
Most of them don't cause any problems. What's so wrong with a person who likes his/her own race and can't control it?
2 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender8 years agoWhy do people always look for differences?
I always see in today's society and the past, that most people look at why people are different instead of looking at how people are the same. Much progress has been made (Women's Voting Act, Civil Rights Act, etc.) , but many people still think this way.
1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture8 years agoDo you like diversity?
Don't you like to experience and observe other people's culture? Where I live, we have people of every race and many cultures and nationalities come together. Most people here don't even look at race or religion and look at the individual. Here it doesn't matter if you are black, latino, white, Asian, etc., you are looked upon as an individual. No race causes more problems than another. Before you say this is probably a poor area, search up Ellicott City, Maryland. Tell me what you think and how you view diversity.
7 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups8 years agoWhy is there so much hate online?
I live in rural Mississippi, famous for horrid racism. However, most of us youngsters get along despite racial differences and past racism. Even though there is a little intolerance here (mainly from older people), it can't begin to compare to what I see online. Many people are very ignorant and attack a person's race online instead of attacking their character. On almost every website and forum I go to I see horrid racism. Are most of them trolls? I don't believe there are that many racists in the world.
6 AnswersOther - Society & Culture8 years agoHelp! My parents are white supremacists?
First of all let me say I live in rural Mississippi. Yes, we have a history of racism. My parents are the stereotypical "redneck" for your information. They have always hated blacks. My parents told me they joined the Ku Klux Klan yesterday. I am not racist in any way and am shocked by this. I have black friends and am not in favor of hate. My parents are trying to convince me that blacks are stupid with their bogus, mindless arguments. What do I do?
7 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups8 years agoWhy are younger generations more tolerant?
In younger generations all over the world, tolerance seems to be rising. The younger generation seems more open minded, less racist, and more accepting to homosexuals. It was even stated that when the children of today grow up, they will be even more tolerant. Why is this?
4 AnswersAnthropology8 years agoDo Europeans hate Americans?
On every site I see that compares the two, there are always Europeans bashing America. What do they hate about our country. Is it the people, the food, or culture. Or are they just envious of the US.
4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture8 years agoAre my parents subhuman?
I live in rural Mississippi. I have a serious problem, my parents are not human. They refuse to work and would rather stay at home using drugs and alcohol. Get this, I am the one who has to pay for everything in the house. I am 17 and looking out for both my mom and dad. They get mad at me when I get lower than a B in school and say education is important. I know that, but my parents have dropped out of school when they were 16. Then I give them the phrase practice what you preach and my mom starts going ape sh*t. She calls me lazy and useless even though I foot almost all their bills and clean the house every day. When I'm 18 I'm going to leave this dumpy house and go live up North. Normally I would get mad but now I have realized that you cannot get mad at an animal for being an idiot. My parents are truly animals by getting mad at every little thing, living in their filth, and causing meaningless trouble to everyone in the community. I am ashamed to be their son and am glad I am almost done with this. So, what should I do for the next 3 months, and what do you think about my parents?
