  • Is Senator Obama going to shred the US Constitution, or is Philip Burg a crack Attorney?

Please view the video and tell me rationally whether you think the Constitution is at risk or not.

  • If Berg v. Obama was just a Hillary campaign stunt, why did Berg not accept Obama's proposal to withdraw?

Why isn't the Obama Campaign complying with the suit? What does he have to hide if he really was born in Hawaii?

  • Why did Senator Obama change from calling his opponent John to Senator McCain?

Right after Senator McCain spoke of the bracelet he wears is where the change happened.

Feel free to offer opinion about this question, I have my theories, but am not solid in my opinion yet.

    Thanks.

  • Is former President Bill Clinton supporting Obama, McCain, or just asking us to put politics aside?

    http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/

In and interview on Good Morning America this morning, Bill Clinton refutes what seems to be taken as fact by so many here on Y!A this morning ... that McCain isn't afraid...

But what is Mr. Clinton trying to say in your opinion? Should we put politics aside here on Y!A until the economy issue is settled?

  • Did Obama just vote 'Absent' by not accepting Senator McCain's invitation to put politics aside?

Barak Obama today: "It may be necessary for both of us to be present to send a strong message"

And yet he has turned McCain's invitation down.

"He further went on to say that the American People need to know what it is we plan to do in moving the economy forward." Implying that the upcoming debate is even remotely about that when its about his weak area: Foreign Relations.

Am I missing something? Does he think we're all not paying attention?

It feels to me like he just voted 'absent' on actually DOING something for the economy. What say you all?

  • Is Senator Clinton more about politics than standing up for what's right?

There were to be two guest speakers at a rally protesting the UN appearance of Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Both guests initially accepted ... one even mentions the other positively in her speech in spite of being in opposing parties in the US. Yet when the other ... Senator Hillary Clinton, found out that Governor Palin would be sharing the event with her ... well, read the article and find out what happened. http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1023408.html

Is Senator Clinton right? Was that a partisan move to include a woman from each of two different political ideologies?

  • What would happen if the EC came out as a tie between O and M?

    http://www.usaelectionpolls.com/2008/state-polls.h...

I was adding up the EC votes based on the poling data found at the above link. Of course it's still too close statistically to be anything like an accurate measurement, but here is what I found that precipitated this question:

Obama EC = 268, McCain 270 hence 2 difference. There are several states with polls close enough to tip the other way on both sides of the race, but what I found most interesting was that mathematically it is possible to achieve a tie in the EC assuming all states EC delegates vote the majority for that state. I do realize it's highly unlikely, but it did give me pause to wonder:

Soooo what would happen if Obama and McCain each got 269?

  • Would you elect this person as your President?

    Highlights

    Captain of the Militia

    Pro business

Stood up for a group of people considered less than human (not a popular political choice for its economic implications)

    Store owner

    Business failed

    Lawyer

    Joined the US Legislature

    Anti-Mexican-American War

    Failed as a legislator

Went back to being a lawyer

    Became a Republican

Returned to the legislature to fight for state's rights to choose

Lost his seat in the Senate

Lost a bid for Vice President

Father of four children, only one of which survived into adulthood

Ran for President against the Senator who had bested him out of his incumbency.

Aside from the fact that many will likely try to make this a guessing game before deciding if they would vote for this person (no doubt it will not be too difficult to either Google or guess), I do hope people will consider the question honestly.

I will give 10 points to someone in a few days based on whether I feel they took the time to honestly consider the question in light of today's standards.
