How to restore a virus infected computer?
My Mother opened an email from "UPS" that has infected her computer. It still turns on and loads Windows XP but no programs work and I can't even get onto the internet to download the programs that have been recomended to fix it. I tried downloading them on my comp and transferring via memoery stick but the programs won't run.
Please if anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it!!
7 AnswersSecurity1 decade agoHave you reached the FINAL COUNTDOWN?
Hey ladies, I just realised a couple of days ago that I've only got 3 weeks left till my EDD! I can't believe it, I really don't know where the time has gone. I swear the last time I checked I still had 7 weeks left to go.
At first I was all excited as the day is drawing nearer. Then I freaked because I've just caught a cold and really don't want to be in labor while coughing my lungs out. And then... I realised that this little man better hurry up and arrive as if he doesn't get here before my due date I will have to be induced due to having gestational diabetes. I really really don't want to be induced, lol.
Anyway I just can't believe that the day is crawling ever closer and that its all nearly over and soon my little man will meet his sisters and brother. I can't wait to have all four of my babies and get on with day to day life :-)
So how many weeks or days do you have left? And is the time flying by or creeping past, lol
Are you prepared to finally get to meet your precious bundle of joy?
Anxious, excited, scared, nervous? Whats going through your head right now?
Feel free to share anything your thinking or feeling as the big day draws near :-)
Good Luck ladies with the rest of your pregnancy and may you all have quick and as pain free labors as is possible!!!
5 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoWhat do you think of this idea about telling people the gender?
Ok so next Wednesday I go for my 19week ultrasound and will be finding out the sex of "Jellybean" (my kids nick name for the new baby) and instead of just calling everyone straight after the ultrasound and telling them the sex, like I usually do.
I thought I'd get some little baby objects from the $2 shop that they have for baby showers, like little blue or pink bottles, dummies and tiny baby things. And wrap them in a little box and give them to people to open. And that way when they open up the box they'll know its a boy or girl depending on the colour!
Ok so do you think its a cute idea or just stupid?
I just wanted to do something a little different.

9 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoAussie Mums: Did you get cervical checks during pregnancy?
Hey ladies!
I was just wondering if Aussie Mum's had their cervix checked during pregnancy. As I have never had one with any of my pregnancies. Not until I was actually in labor.
And I see so many questions on here about when you got your cervix checked and how dilated and effaced etc. I never knew any of that until I was actually in labor.
So yeah just curious if its just my Dr and hospital and Birth Centre or what. Ta heaps
3 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoHave you heard of a pevis spitting due to pregnancy?
My friend just found out that due to her slight figure and big baby, her pelvis is actually spitting! I have never heard of this before and was wondering if anyone had experienced it or has any knowledge about it.
Tomorrow she has to go and get fitted with a special belt that is meant to keep the baby off her pelvis.
Any help or info would be greatly appreciated, thank you all :-)
2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoWhat is being induced like compared to going into labour normally?
Hey ladies, I'm 37weeks along with #3 and due to having gestational diabetes the OB said that if I havent gone into labour by my due date then they will induce me or if my blood sugar levels go up.
So I was just wondering for those ladies that have gone into labour naturally and also by being induced:
* Is there a huge difference between the two
* Whats it like
* And did you need drugs or not to cope
* Is it really that much more intense than slowly progressing
Sorry to bug you, but all I was given was a pamphlet explaining about admission times, the pessary, having my waters broken and maybe a drip when I asked about it. So your experiances would really be helpful, thank you all in advance :-)
7 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoWhy does everyone push the epidural?
Ok I just read a question where a woman wanted to know what other types of pain relief were available as she wasnt going to have an epidural due to having back problems. And instead of actually answering her question everyone just told her to get the epidural!! And went on and on and on about how great epidurals are and how you just cant cope without one. And no medals are awarded to those that dont have epidurals.... like come on people!!
They make it out like its a crime to NOT have an epidural... like what the F****?
Sorry its just really getting to me that everyone seems to push epidurals on those women asking for pain relief options other than an epidural. Not all women are comfortable getting a needle stuck in their spine or being numb whilst giving birth or just plain and simple dont want any drugs.
I personally dont care what pain relief you used whilst giving birth as it a completely different experiance for everyone.
19 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoWhy the nasty comments about drug free labors?
Ok I've been reading alot of questions lately regarding epidurals and drug free labors. And I've noticed alot of comments made to women that are considering drug free births are rather nasty and uncalled for.
" Your not going to win some mother of the year award/medal" (because they choose to not have drugs) or
" You wont be a better mother just because you dont have drugs"
Which I personally think is rather nasty and mean. If someone chooses to have a drug fre birth that is their choice. And obviously they dont expect any medal or award, but have their own reasons for opting for no drugs.
So why they uncalled for comments? Or am I just taking it the wrong way and over reacting?
I dont think any better or any worse of any woman whether she had a drug free birth or had every drug under the sun. We all went through pregnancy and labor to have the precious gifts at the end. So what difference does it make how you handled labor.
19 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoHurts when peeing after giving birth?
Ok I was just wondering what your experiance was after giving birth and with each additional child.
You know how it burns abit when you pee after giving birth, well if you have more than one child did it hurt with each consecutive birth or not?
I remember with my first daughter I'd dread peeing because it just killed. I did have grazes from delivery though so that may have been it.
But with my second daughter, I remember going to the toilet for the first time and tensing waiting for the pain to begin, but it didn't. I was sooooooo relieved.
Sorry it just popped into my head and I thought I'd ask. To see if this has happened to anyone else. Or if with a first birth.
Both my girls were born normal vaginal delivery with no tears or episiotomy.
Thanks
2 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoDoes anyone read The Discworld series by Terry Pratchett?
Ok well I love The Discworld series by Terry Pratchett and have been reading them since I was a teen.
I have two questions.
#1 Does anyone remember a cartoon series of The Discworld? I remember watching it as a teen but have been unable to find it in any movie or book shops and no luck hunting it down on the net.
#2 The book The Hogfather has been made into a MOVIE!!!! And will be out in Australia next month. I am soooooo excited, and Terry plays one of the roles as well.
Thats it just wanted to share!!!
4 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoNeed cats to get along!!! Help please?
Hi I have two cats Myrtai mother of Raven and obviously Raven. they get along and have no probs. Now however I recently brought Myrtai's Mum Shelley to come live with us. As at my friends house she was not happy due to new dogs and new kittens joining the family. So she would wander, fight with other cats in the street etc.
I thought it was best if she moved in with us and I could make sure she was eating and keep her inside. For some silly reason I thought because all the cats are related they would get along!!! How wrong I was.
Myrtai seems to be alright with Shelley, they just stare at each other and maybe hiss occasionally. But Raven hates her.
Because of this animosity Shelley stays in my daughters part of the house. Their toy room, bedroom and bathroom and hallway. This has really upset Raven because she sleeps with my daughters but now Shelley is and she is not happy. Myrtai doesnt mind she just jumps onto my bed.
I'd like any advice you
3 AnswersCats1 decade agoMIL advice!?
Ok, although I love and respect my MIL, I dont really like her. I have never felt that she has ever liked me. One day she pretty much told me that I tricked her son into having our daughter and he was to young to take responsibility for her (he was 20!) and basically that I was a ****.
Aside from that she is very passive aggressive much like Marie Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond and I'm Debra.
She favours our oldest daughter terribly, she doesnt call to say hello or see how the kids are. Not even for birthdays etc.
She expects me to call her, visit her. She has only ever visited our house ONCE!
When I talk to her she doesn't even bother to pretend to listen, but I sit and listen to her stories that I have heard 600 times.
In January of this year I stopped visiting after I was made to feel unwelcome and like an annoyance when we visited.
3 AnswersFamily1 decade agoWhy do babies need to get full faster?
Why is that people think they have to get their babies full faster by feeding them cereal in a bottle as newborns or a few weeks old?
Is it to benefit the baby? Or is it to shut them up so they dont need all the attention and care that they really need?
It so does not make sense to me. A babies stomach is tiny and so obvioulsy needs small feeds frequently until their stomach is big enough to handle more milk which will keep them satisfied for longer.
Why do so many people start feeding their babies so early?
I thought it was a given that babies need constant attention and food which means sleepless nights due to feeding needs or overtired babies that dont sleep well etc.
So why try and stuff them full of food so they dont have to be dealt with?
What are your thoughts and feelings?
4 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoWho has a weird birthing spot or birthing story for cats?
I've had one cat stop giving birth with the baby halfway out cause my 18 month old daughter started crying, and my cat wanted to make sure she was alright first before continuiing.
My weirdest spot for birthing was when my cat climbed under the blanket then up my shirt and gave birth right in the curve of my tummy and legs while I was asleep. I woke up after the second was born and put them all in the birthing box. But it did make me feel really speacial.
Does anyone else have any weird and wonderful stories about where your cat gave birth or cool cat labour stories ???

8 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoDoes anyones cat respond to whistles?
My cats wont come to me if I call them. Unless they want to. And I hate walking around going " Here puss puss " or calling their names over and over again. So I taught them to come to me when I whistle. Everyone I know thinks this is weird is it? I also had a cat when I was a teenager that responded to whistles so I thought it was normal.
