It seems like umpires take a lot of heat when they make a wrong call, especially when it affects the outcome of an official game weather it's regular season or post season. On the other hand if there is a game that goes on without any noticable mistakes from the umpiring crew, their work all most goes undetected, except maybe the TV announcers will say "that was a good call" while watching the reply of a close play.

So I wonder if anyone can dredge up any any memories here. What is the best call you've ever seen made by an umpire in a crucial situation? And no I'm not talking about a bad call that went in the favor of your team.

Someone asked what is a "walk-off homerun." Of course I know that one but it got me thinking, and I ask what is your most memorable walk-off shot that your favorite team has hit?

The more detailed of an answer you can provide me the better. example: Was it a no-doubt shot to center feild, or was it a homerun that just barely cleared the outfeilder's glove over the wall? Was the pitcher wild, or was he pitching resonably well before tossing up a mistake? etc.

Aside from the 1994 strike shortened season where there was no world series.
