A few minutes after I turn off my Prius, it makes a humming noise. What is that? I can't find mention of it in my owner's manual.

I've recently started experimenting (with a very experienced partner) with various aspects of bdsm. Although I've enjoyed the experiences so far, I'm struggling to hide the marks. I can hide the stuff on my legs and torso, but I the marks on my wrists (usually caused by truck-ties, rope, or pvc bondage tape) show for 24+ hours. Does anyone have any tips about hiding wrist marks? I've been wearing large bracelets, but they don't hide the marks very well and I look kind of silly with massive bracelets on both arms. Thanks!

I'm very interesting in Columbia's MPA in Envi Sci and Policy program, but I am uncertain if I am qualified. I know admission to the School of International and Public Affairs is highly competitive (and highly ranked!) but the MPA program is new and highly specialized. I'm wondering how competitive the MPA program is.

I'm an undergrad at UC Berkeley majoring in Environmental Sciences, minoring in Pubic Policy. I've spent two summers interning with a major utility, spent the last several years volunteering at a wildlife refuge, and am writing my thesis on energy policy. I have a very strong resume and some great letters of rec. However, my GPA is a disappointing 2.5. I have 3 Ds and an F on my transcript. I'm worried that my GPA completely disqualifies from the program. I haven't taken the GRE yet, but I'm confident I'll do well. Despite my grades, I am capable of applying myself :-)

So, do you guys know anything about the MPA program? Namely, competitiveness? I'm planning to apply next fall, but I'd like as much info as possible

So, I totally forgot about Halloween until today. Going through my closet, I have the perfect Jackie O costume but I'm blonde and getting a brunette wig is out of the question due to time constraints. Is there a way I can adapt the costume to someone blonde?

Lately, whenever I have caffeine (usually in the form of diet coke or black coffee) I get a strong headache, have trouble focusing, and become extremely drowsy. What's going on? Caffeine used to wake me up and I'd become more alert! I've never been a heavy caffeine drinker and now I have it twice or more a week. What's going on? Should I be concerned?

I have a huge midterm Friday and I've hardly slept all week. I feel tired, but I just can't seem to fall asleep. All my local drug stores are closed (i.e. no sleeping pills) so any other suggestions?? I really need at least one good night sleep before Friday. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
