Hi all, Im on a tight budget on disibility but I would love to make some cheap gifts to take to nursing homes and hospitals to brighten their holidays a little, I have just learned to crochet so ill be working all next year making scarfs and hats but there isnt enough time this year, I make tons of candy but I know alot cant have that kind of stuff....any suggestions, I just feel like doing something this year

when is the earliest you think is appriate to start decorating yard....In years past I have been in a apartment with no yard to decorate, so Im excited about decorating this year, but dont wanna look foolish for doing it to early

recently quit smoking and would like to get the smoke smell out of the furniture and and the house ive aired the house out alot and its not so bad but I can still smell it on the furniture, I use febreeze daily, any other suggestions?

Snickerdoodles

1/2 c butter

1 1/2 c flour

1 c sugar

1 egg

1/2 teas vanilla

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp cream of tarter

2 tbls sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Beat butter in a large mixing bowl with electric mixer on med speed til soft. Add 1/2 the flour, 1C sugar, egg, vanilla, baking soda, and cream of tarter. Beat til well mixed. Stir in remaining flour. Combine 2 tbls sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough into balls, roll in cinnamon and sugar mix. Place (still in balls) on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake on 375* for 10 min.

Im thinking about using netflix, but dont know anything about them? Any good or bad experiences?

Im wanting to make some cookies tonight but its soooo cold to go out and get this, is there a substitute that will work, or will cookies turn out if i just leave it out?

In years past I have waited until a few days before Christmas to start mine then Im rushed and exhausted for Christmas. And this year I will have to mail a few off and want them to get there on time..I know alot will store well in the fridge...But when is a safe time to start so the candy will not be too stale by Christmas.

I want to make these with all my christmas candy and cookies and havent had them in years. Thanks in advance
