  • What to get a 23 year old guy for Christmas from a new step-aunt?

Engaged to his uncle. He is 23 and married. Already got the wife a present but not sure what exactly to get a 23 year old, married guy. He's in the Marines, nice kid, but I do not know...this will be the first time we meet.

His uncle...bless his heart...is like, don't worry about it. No, no, no...not an option with me. Any ideas on a good gift idea?

  • 6 month old puppy poops on patio, not in yard...ugh, how to correct this?

We got a Chocolate Lab in October, he was born in July, so he is almost six months old now. He is a joy, adorable, sweet. His one flaw, he will not poop in the yard. He poops on the patio outside the back door. I have walked out with him to the far fence to try to get him to do it in the yard. My other dog goes out into the yard. I have walked him out there on a leash. Nothing seems to work. He poops all over the patio and I am out there pressure washing it every couple of days. Pressure washing in 30 degrees now is no bueno. How do I get this sweet boy to go in the yard. Dirt or grass, I do not care...just not on the patio.

  • Second marriage/wedding opinions. Bride and Mother In Law disagree greatly on what kind of wedding for a second time.?

We are getting married late summer 2017. This is a second marriage for both of us and we are 40 and 47. I am thinking a small ceremony outdoors and a nice sit down dinner with only the closest of family and good friends. About 30 people.

My mother in law is insisting that all of the grooms family be there (even though he does not speak to most of them and when they do it is through Facebook!). She is being very rude and has been told numerous times, we do not want a large wedding as it is a second go around for both of us. She now says that I am not excited about getting married or the ring or this and that because I do not want to plan an extravaganza for all of these people.

Am I being unreasonable? At 40 I do not see myself in a ball gown with a bridal party and all the pomp and circumstance. What is your opinion on second weddings?
