I'm currently in high school and I only have a couple years left until I graduate. I actually wanted to go towards journalism, but because of how it's become a dying field and has a fierce competition, I've decided to turn my focus towards history. Now, I know I may seem like I'm flip-flopping between what I want to do in the future, but I really think history is right for me. I am proficient in world geography and take great interest in many different countries and its past. I've got a few questions before I fully lock my decisions on history. What minor should I take with history? I'm thinking of a lot of different options right now, but I can't quite get a grasp on what minor I'd like to take with history, so I want to hear from you guys. Also, will there be a lot of job opportunities for me with a degree in History? Is it an extremely challenging course to take? Any ideas on how I should prepare for the course after high school? I've always been interested in history and I've wanted to learn more about the past so I can better know about the current events. I am currently taking History 12 as one of my courses in high school and I am in grade 11 and so far I'm enjoying it a lot. Please give me detailed answers because I am very concerned about my future.
