4 AnswersTiVO & DVRs8 years agoDiscovery 3 rear doors won't open from inside once the car has stopped?
Hi.
My Dad has recently brought a 2006 Discovery 3.
When the car moves off, the doors automatically lock. When the car comes to a stop the doors remain locked from outside, but allowing you to open the doors from the inside.
Expect in the back they don't. Unless you use the unlock doors button on the dashboard
I have checked the child locks in both positions and that has not sorted it?
Surely it is not supposed to be like this as its relatively dangous in an accident?!
Any help would be greatly appricaticed

3 AnswersBoats & Boating8 years agoAdvice on using multimeter to find amp draw on car battery?
I have a 22 year old Toyota hilux pick up. If I leave it for 2 days the battery goes compleatly flat. (Tried 3 new batteries)
I have got hold of a multimetre and want to test how many amps are being drawn from battery when ingnition is off.
I have removed radio and turned off interior light. As its a very basic car with no computers, It should only have a battery draw from the clock (as far as I'm aware)
I have removed the positive battery lead so I can test between lead and terminal.
On the multimeter I have the red lead in "COM" and the black lead in "10A DC"
And have selected 10A from the dial.
With the ingnition off, it eventually gave me a reading of 1.09 after counting down from around 2.5
Is the 1.9 the amps being drawn from the battery?
P.S an engine component clicks when I make this connection. As the ingnition is off, could this be what's draining the battery
Many thanks for any help
