  • Best diapers for older disabled child?

Just wondering if anyone knows of a good diaper that I can use for my Daughter. She is 6 and is fully incontinent and we are finding that the store brand baby diapers just don't cut it anymore. We have problems with her leaking because they don't fit properly and sometimes, especially at night, they just don't have the capacity to hold as much urine as a 6 year old can put out. She's quite small for her age and does have some mobility (rolling etc) but isn't walking. She is usually in either a sitting position or laying down. We've been through all kinds of Huggies, Pampers, Pull ups, Store brands etc.

Can anyone recommend a good product? Thanks in advance!

  • Calling all hedgehog experts!?

My niece is heartbroken as her hedgehog is sick and I was hoping someone out here may have had a similar experience and can shed some light on the situation. I personally haven't seen the animal (I'm in a different province!) But these are the symptoms

He is 4 years old and normally healthy. Has had a history of tumors (one on his foot, which the vet removed and one on the eyelid which the vet is leaving for now unless there are changes. It currently doesn't seem to be posing a problem)

He was seen approx. 12 hrs ago absolutely fine and healthy, walking normally and eating. A few hours ago the kids noticed that he was balled up and wouldn't unroll (this is not normal at all for him) When he would unroll he was very shaky and wobbly. I had them check his temp which appears to be normal. They are awaiting a call back from the vet clinic (On call vet got a call out, so they have to wait, sigh!) Unfortunately it is not this hedgehogs regular vet but they aren't about to be choosy. They may have to wait up to 3 hrs before he can be brought in to the clinic to be assessed. Can anyone tell me if there is anything they should be doing in the mean time? ie. Keeping warm etc. Whoever is answering the calls at the vet wasn't too specific about anything. Also, just want to know if this is common? something he may recover from? The kids are beside themselves worried about him :( Thanks in advance!

P.S. They have already checked to see if there is anything wrapped on his feet and there hasn't been any other trauma (like being dropped etc). Also, he had been in his cage so almost no chance of eating something toxic
