  • Can I use candle wax to finish leather edges instead of beeswax?

I'm pretty new to leather working and am trying not to spend a bunch of money. I decided that I probably didn't need to spend another 4 bucks on a little hunk of beeswax and that id just use water instead. While the water worked, it did not produce as nice an edge as I'd hoped for. I then tried candle wax. Is there any reason why candle wax is bad as opposed to beeswax? Does beeswax produce a better result?

  • Can I drive a BB and:or pellet gun in my car?

I’m 16 years old and I have my drivers license. I live in Nevada. I frequently drive to California where I shoot my BB and pellet guns. I only use them for target shooting. What are the laws pertaining to a 16 year old being in possession of BB and pellet guns in both states without an adult? What are the laws pertaining to a 16 year old driving with BB and pellet guns in the car? Are there any laws for bringing them across state lines? I look for the laws but can’t find anything specifically pertaining to drivers under the age of 18. 18 is the age that a person can buy a BB/pellet gun. Anyone under the age of 18 must have an “adults permission” whatever that means. So as you can see, there’s a 2 year gap where the law could potentially be different for those who own a BB/pellet gun, can drive, but are still under the age of 18.

  • Lower back pain from skiing?

So a week and a half ago I was skiing the GS course at practice and my dins were too low so I kept popping out and crashing. I crashed 15 times that day (more than I have in 2 years combined). Anyway, my lower right side of my back has been achy ever since. Additionally, my left leg right by where it goes into the hip is also cramped. How do I fix these? Should I see a doc? Can I fix them on my own?

  • How do I deal with a very rude teacher?

I am an A student who has had my share of rude and unqualified teachers. This year, my chemistry teacher blows them all away. She does not explain the material to us and when we ask her, she gets mad and yells at us. After her 20 minute rant on how stupid everyone is and calling each student an idiot, she proceeds to explain it to us in a very sarcastic and flat out rude way. She makes us feel like complete ****. The kid who used to sit in front of me killed himself a few weeks ago. I don't know if she had anything to do with it but I wouldn't be one bit surprised. She surely didn't make his life any easier. The only reason I included this detail was to give you the true picture of how this teacher affects her students. I'm determined to pass the class and will do whatever it takes to understand the subject matter. In order to do this, I need to know how to deal with the teacher. I respect teachers in the same way you would respect the police officer who gives you a ticket. They are authority figures and I know that. Do I tell my teacher how I feel? How? Do I switch out of the honors class? I need answers. Thank you.
