  • question about professors?

    I spent 6 hours on a lab report and......all i got was a 7.8/10!

I wanted to make sure I got an A and it seems like my professor just wants to mark up the page to raise her level of "power"?

Also, I wrote that the melting point range is a way to determine the identity of a chemical substance because it is an intensive property. She wrote in red text next to it: What type of property?... What do you think she means by that, I asked her and she said I think you mean a physical property, however, I was taught physical properties are both intensive and extensive... so I thought I would be more correct in saying intensive

    Questions:

-Do you think that some professors grade hard to feel more "powerful"?

-What is wrong in me saying a melting point range is a way to determine the identity of a chemical substance because it is an intensive property
