  • PLEASE HELP- Wisdom tooth extraction!!?

    I was wondering if anyone could tell me from their experience when a wisdom tooth should be extracted?? Anyone who's personally had to have it done what were your symptoms. I would like to know what to look for instead of going and relying solely on dentist's opinions since their main concerns are centered around making more money! I need an unbiased and objective way to determine if my wisdom tooth should be extracted.

    It's on the bottom and the gum is sore if I chew, sleep on my side or touch it any way! Also the space at the bottom of the gum does not look like it would be able to fit a large tooth. My other wisdom teeth at the top came in fine and sometimes were discomforting but did not cause as much soreness. Also the side of my mouth like the inside of my cheek close to where the wisdom tooth will grow out part of the skin has peeled off. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it!!

    I realize I may just be overreacting so it'd help to hear from sumone who's been in this situation (wisdom tooth/teeth extraction)
