I've been told that I look eastern European, but I don't even know how anyone would be able to tell where you come from by looking at a face. Do I look like any particular European ethnicity?

I always get told I look eastern European, more specifically Polish, but I'm skeptical that people are actually seeing this and not telling from my surname. Can you really even tell from a persons face. Do I actually look of eastern European descent?

I start college in the fall and I've always been such a painfully anxious and socially awkward person. I've never had many friends and I finally found some good ones in high school and now I'm leaving them. I am aware of the fact that I am in control of making a good first impression with people and having them see me as how I who I feel I am. I've just always been crippled by anxiety and I'd like some advice on how to make friends in the midst of this social anxiety. Thanks

I just noticed this yesterday. At first I just thought my bra strap was too tight, but it hasn't gone away and it hurts more. I feel like I can see light/white dots in the area, but I showed my parents and they don't seem to see anything. It hurts to touch or just to move in general. The pain is only in this area and I know I didn't injure it recently. It almost seems to pulsate. For example, as I am writing this I'm not moving, but the pain will stop then return, stop then return. I know it's only been two days, but I've never had a pain like this before. Anyone know what this could be?

Ever since I was little I had dark circles or bags under my eyes. My doctor at the time referred to them as allergy eyes. Also, I never to seem to breathe clearly through my nose, I always feel somewhat stuffed up. What could this be, chronic allergies? Is there anything to treat my dark circles and clear the congestion?

My pool is currently a cloudy green and nothing is working. When I tested the pH it was very high, around 8.0 Then I tested my alkalinity and it said it was 50. So, I added alkalinity balance and got it up to 80, but now my pH is very high. Now that the alkalinity is balanced will that bring the pH down on its own or is there something to lower the pH and not the alkalinity? So confused and I just want a clear blue pool, can anybody give some advice?

My puppy (almost a year old) was spayed about four days ago. She stayed overnight there, which is standard for the vet. She seemed like she was in a little pain at first, but I've been checking her stitches and not letting her run around. Now, she is just acting extremely submissive, laying on her back every time we talk to her She starts shaking and her ears go back every time I go near her, like she's scared. Why would she be acting like this? I've had my other dogs spayed and they didn't act like this. What can I do to help her?

I was interested in getting a babydoll sheep or goat. Which would make a better pet and what gender is friendlier also? I currently have three miniature horses and the female is the friendliest, don't know if that's the same with sheep and goats.

I am currently a junior in a new high school and am worried about how my uninvolvement will affect getting into colleges. I take AP classes for English and History and have been taking Latin since freshman year. Since our school is new they really dont have any clubs. I would join an art club, but there is not one. I am painfully shy so I have never been one to be actively a part of things anyway. Will I not get into any good colleges because of this?

I turned sixteen in august and realize I need a job. Since I don't do extracurricular activites I know it is important for me to go out and do something. The problem is I am so shy and socially anxious. I feel stupid because I fear the jobs that I know will be most readily available to teens: waitressing, cashier etc. I'm just so nervous about it, like handling other people's money and making a mistake. I do plan on working with a conservation group in the spring where I will get paid after 50 volunteer hours, but I'm even nervous about that. I worry about this constantly. Can someone please give advice and please no rude answers.

I have always kept to my self and lately I wish I had more friends, but I have so much trouble making them. I'm a high school junior and go to a small school of kids who've known each other for years. So, people already have their preconceived view of me being the quiet/weird girl. I just don't know how to talk to people I don't know. Small talk is not easy for me. Now that college is approaching I'm even more scared about how I'm going to be. I would like get a job, but all the jobs offered to teenagers involve working with people like a cashier. I feel really stupid complaining like this, but I just feel so overwhelmed. I am currently a high school junior and am wondering how important extracurricular activites are for getting into college. I haven't been apart of anything, just art club and book club, but that was during school, as in we had to choose clubs. I go to a high school that was just built( my freshman year had only two grades) so I guess things still aren't really established. I would like to join something, but everything after school is mainly sports. So, will I not get into a college if I dont have any extracurricular activites. I have good grades, two AP classes. Please no rude comments.

I turned on my computer yesterday and could not get online. I can go on aim and see the what the weather is on those sidebar gadgets, but everytime I go online it says "Internet Explorer cannor display the webpage". It says it could not detect any network connection problems either. My other computer works fine. Pleas help.

I'm in AP English and we have been learning about rhetoric. We have also leaned about logos appealing to logic, ethos appealing to ethics, and pathos appealing to emotion. We're supposed to find 3 examples of each, like it can be a youtube clip or a quote from a speech. I find myself having trouble grasping the concept of these terms and I don't know where to start to find examples. Can someone help me out?

I wanted to drop out of my honors Theory of Knowledge class so I went to talk to my guidance counselor. I tried to explain that I didn't like the class and I was already taking two AP classes and it was too much work. She said she couldn't change my schedule unless I had an academic reason. What does she mean by this? I was going to go back and try to tell her that the class is overwhelming and it would be easier for me to focus on my other AP classes if I didn't have the honors class. Would this be considered in academic reason?

Yesterday my dog died and I didn't expect it at all. I mean she's old and for a while she slept a lot and then she started separating herself. I didn't think it was anything out of the ordinary. I came from my first day of school and she was walking around. Then I went into my room and she was laying in the place she slept and she was dead. It is all still such a shock and I miss her so much. She was my best friend for ten years and now I'll never see her again. I keep crying and I don't know how to feel better. The house seems so empty without her. It makes it worse that I saw her dead and it fogs the memory of the fun times we had. I need some kind advice.

School starts tomorrow and I'm going to be a junior and I can't help, but feeling so nervous. I keep worrying I'm not going to know anyone in my classes or I won't have anyone to sit with at lunch.This normally wouldn't bother me, but I have a really hard time socializing and talking with new people. I wish I could make new friends, but it's just hard for me. Please some kind advice.

I was interested in buying a puppy, but I'm not sure what breed to get. I would like a small dog, not chihuahua/yorkie size, that doesn't shed too much. I currently have a 10 year old cairn terrier as well, so maybe a dog roughly around her size would do well. Any recommendations on some good dog breeds?
