If I find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy, I can only conclude that I was not made for here, If the flesh that I fight is at best only light and momentary then of course I'll feel nude when to where I'm destined I'm compared. Am I lost or just less found? On the straight or on the roundabout of the wrong way? Is this a soul that stirs in me, Is it breaking free, Wanting to come alive? 'Cos my comfort would prefer for me to be numb, And avoid the impending birth of who I was born to become. For we, We are not long here, Our time is but a breath, So we better breath it, And I was made to live, I was made to love, I was made to know you. Hope is coming for me... Speak to me in the light of the dawn, Mercy comes with the morning, I will sigh and with all creation groan as I wait for hope to come for me C.S. Lewis Song by Brooke Fraser

  • What to do when you've got pregnancy blues?

I'm grumpy more than half the time, I'm tired, my eyes are red and swollen from all the crying, I can't eat what I want to eat, I feel all alone even though I have people who love me at hand. I'm starting to resent my unborn baby for making me feel like crap.

My pregnancy is doing my head in.

Can someone please tell me a joke or a funny story, or anything that will get me smiling at least once today.

  • Why why why? Just tell me why?

With all the millions and millions of books circulating out in the big wide world, why do people insist on asking questions about the same freaking books?

  • How many weeks do I have to be?

I'm 9 weeks, wondering when I can find out the sex of my baby.

I already know I'm having a girl but how far along do I have to be before I can do the scan thing and get confirmation?

  • Ok, serious question here?

Before I got pregnant I had a high sex drive. My sex drive now is through the roof. I'm wanting it all the time, even when I'm exhausted. I had no sleep last night but before my fiance left for work this morning we had to go a few rounds.

Sex is not going to harm my baby, right?

Can I have as much of it as I want?

    Does positioning matter?

How far into my pregnancy do I have to stop having sex?

Actually, do I have to stop?

  • Going off favourite foods?

In the 2 weeks since I found out I was pregnant (am now 7 weeks) I've noticed that I seem to be going off food that I usually eat.

Pre-pregnancy I loved fruits and vegetables, and meat and seafood.

Now the thought of an apple has me running for the nearest toilet, my fiance cooked us steak for dinner and I was practically gagging by the time dinner was ready. The other day I was at my mum's house, she went to make coffee and I threw up as soon as I smelt it. Going into the seafood market was a total disaster.

But it's not only going off food. Food I didn't like I'm craving for. Like pork. I hated pork but now I really really want to have pork for dinner tomorrow. And not a pork chop but a big huge roast pork.

And it's not just food, I'm craving the smell of certain things. Like vicks (which I actually ate today) and ocean breeze laundy detergent, and cleaning products in general.

Is this what I have to look forward to for the rest of my pregnancy? Because I'm feeling like a freak.

  • Is this normal?????????????????????????????????

I'm seven weeks pregnant and since I found out I've gone from having heaps of energy to being tired all day and wide awake at night. I've been told by a few people that this is normal. But it doesn't feel normal to me.

Any other expectant mothers out there who have experienced this?

  • Bridesmaids Blues. Help???

One of my bridesmaids is my ex's sister. She is my soul sister and I love her dearly. We clicked from the day we met and have been close ever since (10 years now). My fiance's mother and sister have recently decided that it is an insult to them and my fiance that my soul sister is going to be one of my bridesmaids. My fiance's family and my soul sisters family have been friends forever. My fiance has no problem with it and has told his mother and sister that our wedding party has nothing to do with them. But now my soul sister has found out and is uncomfortable at the tension she thinks she caused and has told me she not only wants to pull out but she thinks it would be best if she doesn't come to the wedding, this way she won't cause any fuss.

I'm really gutted. I want her to at least attend my wedding. And I want her in my wedding. My fiance has told her not to listen to his mother and sister. But she still wants out.

I'm not going to replace her if I can't change her mind.

Should I just let her go or do everything I can to get her to participate?

  • People of all colours?

Out of curiosity, what do you call the white people in your country? In New Zealand we call them (and they call themselves) Pakeha. I know in Hawaii they call their white brothers and sisters Howlies (or something like that), so what do you call your white people?

NO RACIST NAMES OR REMARKS PLEASE.

  • Ethnic People?

I'm Maori (ethnic race of New Zealand) and tattoo (ta moko) is a huge, huge part of my culture. Ta moko tells your history, your family, your lineage, where you're from, things like that. A person either needs permission from elders or has to be accomplished before getting a ta moko. For men they can have it put anywhere. For women, these days, we too can have it anywhere except a full facial ta moko.

    So my questions are...

Is tattoo a part of your culture? If so, what is the significance of a tattoo? Can anyone get at tattoo or do you have to wait for some significant event to happen? Do you need permission to get a tattoo? And where can you gat a tattoo (arms, legs etc...)

  • Diamond Engagement Rings?

Ok, so my fiance and I were watching Blood Diamond earlier tonight (not the first time we have seen it). When the movie finished I looked down at my engagement ring and had the urge to rip it off my finger and throw it away. Before I could act on my impulse my fiance covered my hand with his and told me it was a conflict free diamond. He went on to explain that he knew what my feelings would be when I saw documentaries and movies about blood diamonds. I still feel uneasy about it though. This is not the first time we have had this conversation, and he knows it wont be the last.

    So here are my questions.

    Is your diamond conflict free?

Does it matter to you and your fiance if it is or not?

If it is conflict free, do you still feel uneasy about your diamond?

  • Ok. Bible bashers/thumpers/ people that quote the bible?

    I'll ask again.

Exactly where in the bible does GOD and/or JESUS say...

That a person is not to have sexual intercourse before marriage?

That same sex relationships are not allowed?

That the only way to God and Jesus is through church?

That we should take the word of priests as Gods word?

That we should put the bibles teachings and the teachings of church before the teachings of God and Jesus?

Now please read the question carefully, exactly where in the bible does GOD and/or JESUS say these things?

And I have read the bible. And I I can't find GOD or JESUS saying these things. So come on, prove me wrong.

And please tell me how my question is a violation.

  • Bachelor Party?

Over breakfast this morning my fiance asked me if I wanted to go to his bachelor party tomorrow night. I don't think he really wants me there. He said it's because his brother (best man) has hired a couple of strippers and he doesn't want me to be sitting at home (which I wasn't planning on doing anyway) wondering if hes getting up to any mischief.

To be honest, I don't want to go. I trust him implicitly, and I find it weird that he finds it weird that I don't want to go.

    Any thoughts?

  • Gay brother-in-law dilemma?

A few months ago I found out my fiances brother is gay. I have no problem with this, my brother-in-law is as funny and as friendly as he always was before I found out he prefered men.

The thing is hes always paranoid that I'm going to let it slip that hes gay. I'm not known for letting things slip, I'm a pretty good secret keeper, I have told him numerous times that I won't say anything, even promised him that I wouldn't.

Then he goes and asks me to take his secret to my grave. I'm not so comfortable with that. I have never been comfortable with keeping this from my fiance, his brother (who has suspected this for a few years), and I don't think he has anything to worry about if his family and friends find out.

But it's not for me to say anything to anyone and I love and respect him too much to betray his trust.

How do I convince him that telling his family is not only good for them but the best thing for him?
